I had dinner with my girlfriend; the place was very small but well-kept. The staff were all very kind and helpful, and the service was excellent. I was a little disappointed with the food for the price; the sea bass and tuna were excellent, but the salmon was nothing special. The restaurant doesn't offer a wide selection of food. I recommend it, though, because overall I had a good time.

Disappointing compared to expectations based on other reviews. There are only a few uncomfortable tables, along the street with no separation. Service is slow due to the numerous takeaways, which penalizes those seated at the table. The food is of adequate quality, but the sushi is very Westernized and bears little resemblance to the original Japanese version. The soy is tasteless. Other similar establishments serve two types of soy (one more flavorful and the other more delicate), whasabi, and ginger, which were completely absent here.

Siamo stati con un gruppo di amici, accoglienza, cordialità e gentilezza. Il sushi è fatto con pesce freschissimo e di eccellente qualità. Gli accostamenti di sapori sono variegati e fatti con grande attenzione. Ogni piatto ti viene presentato nei minimi dettagli. Inoltre prezzo assolutamente ragionevole. Ci andremo molto spesso!

Sakura - Ristorante Orientale

26/08/2025: We've been frequenting Sakura restaurant in Modica for a good 5 years, and we've become regulars... once or twice a week, and it's never disappointed. It's a family-run business, and you can immediately feel the welcoming atmosphere: they make you feel at home every time. The sushi is always fresh and carefully prepared, in our opinion the best in the Ragusa province. At lunchtime, the selection is a bit more limited, but at dinner, the menu is much richer and more varied. A must-visit for those seeking quality, friendliness, and authenticity. Highly recommended!
17/06/2025: Definitely the best sushi place in Modica. The service is fast, but the quality of the food does not drop despite this. I highly recommend it.
