Came here for lunch , had the tonnarelli allá gricia and polpette al sugo. Both excellent! Now, off to St. John outside the walls with a happy stomach

We loved this cute trattoria when we went to Rome. The pasta were the best we had in this city, especially pasta all’amatriciana. Service was excellent, we were served by a woman who made great food recommendations and was very welcoming.

A true gem for local connoisseurs only. The variety of dishes is excellent, and the seafood menu on Tuesdays and Fridays deserves an honorable mention. The restaurant has been open for 100 years, and there must be a reason for that. The staff is also excellent and professional. Probably the best restaurant in São Paulo. We'll be delighted to return.

The front terrace full of old Italian guys was our first hint that this was the real deal. Simple but perfectly executed Roman food (spaghetti with clams, baccala with tomato and chick peas, spaghetti cacio et pepe) were all perfect. We were the only tourists in the place, which was bustling.

A REAL trattoria, not for tourists. Had dinner with friends from Rome who have known the place for years. What can I say... there's no ifs or buts... the food is GOOD!! Reservations are a must, and above all, it's a must to discover a bit of the REAL Rome.

Ottimo posto per la sua posizione tranquilla, locale sempre affollato, piatti abbondanti e ben nutrienti, ospitalità 9, piatti 9, locale 7 per via dell’aria giardino magari dedicando un po’ più di cura. Voto complessivo 8,5 comunque da ritornarci.

Questo locale ci ha conquistati, è la terza volta che ci torniamo, soli o in compagnia. L'atmosfera è 'caciarona' e conviviale, molto familiare. Alcuni piatti sono davvero buoni, tipo: trippa alla romana, carciofi fritti pastellati, polpette al sugo, pasta al radicchio e pancetta, abbacchio al forno con patate. Qualche dolce può essere migliorato. Ci torneremo sicuramente. Camerieri simpatici, gentili e molto efficienti, è un piacere lasciar loro la mancia, la meritano!

05/10/2025: They got the various steaks cooked wrong, I think they got confused which is why they gave them a 4* rating. Everything was good from the starters to the first courses and the price was normal if you order prime meat.
04/10/2025: Must try! (I tried it more than once to give a more objective review). The meat is always top-notch, the Roman first courses are excellent, but the fettuccine isn't as good. Tip: skip the appetizers, focus on the Roman first courses and especially the meat!

04/10/2025: Really, really. Really good food! We loved to food and the service!
02/10/2025: Our main dishes of the evening were rigatoni alla Matriciana (that’s how it was spelled), gnocchi alla coda vaccinara and tonnarelli a la gricia. These were delicious with noted qualifications that the guanciale pieces with the tonnarelli were judged too large (!), the gnocchi were assessed under-salted while the coda vaccinara sauce seemed a little thin, and my serving of rigatoni was enormous (no complaint there).
