Fantastic resort in beautiful part of Sicily.

I have only good things to say… for me the highlight of the experience was being able to visit parts of the large estate of the Verdura Resort on horseback, despite the fact that I am disabled and needing help to get on, and also a little extra attention so that I felt safe. I have always loved horses and horse riding, but the guys at A Cavallo Herbessus made the experience unforgettable, being able to enjoy the location by the sea, the scents of the vegetation around, the spectacular views all around… in all this the biggest compliment goes to the horse Gina anyway, :) who I loved… The resort and the facilities are magnificent and, contrary to some comments seen previously, I found the staff, their motivation and friendliness to be at a very high level. In the gastronomy, total happiness is achieved with any dish that contains oranges, olives and lemons and the breakfast is excellent! The only point on which to improve is accessibility for people with motor difficulties. P. for example, by putting in little ramps and automatic systems that open the doors with a special button to reach restaurants and common areas, because even though the steps were small I often had difficulty and the doors to the rooms were quite heavy for someone who has to open them while sitting. Choose rooms to make them completely accessible, for example by removing the bidet and instead putting handles on the side of the toilet and also in the shower, and removing the step to be able to access it easily. The same for access to the terrace.

Such an amazing resort to relax, do some sports (Golf, Tennis, Padel, Football, Basketball, Cycling, Swimming, etc...) and many other activities in this huge resort. Variety of accommodations from one bedroom up to four bedroom villas. With four restaurants to enjoy italian food. Not to forget the SPA and the shops available within this lovely property.

Recovering from a knee surgery, Giuseppe has been extremely gentle and careful while doing my sport sessions and always with various and different exercises.

It was a disappointment, the name “Rocco Forte” was for me synonymous with excellence. Obviously it is a high-level structure but after having tried other resorts nearby I can say that there is better…

Rooms were great and so are the facilities offered by the resort. Played 63 holes of golf and the courses were in incredible conditions, the greens were rolling very pure and the fairways perfectly cut. Only issue at the trattoria lilà the restaurant near the clubhouse of the golf course where the service was awful the main waiter/manger kept getting every single order wrong and kept bringing stuff we didn’t order to the table really unacceptable for the price point. In addition to this I vividly recommend to not eat at the restaurants in the resort as the prices for what you are getting are incredibly exorbitant and not worth it.

We had a great time at the Zagara. Service was clearly a 5/5. Super fast, extremely friendly. Sommelier showed up quickly, advised initially on less expensive wines but then dared to propose a slightly higher priced wine which we took. Great choice by him! The waiters were always looking after us. Food was very good, not outstanding but high quality. Atmosphere in the restaurant is nice. Not too loud, not too quiet. We never felt rushed, and the staff was particularly friendly with our children. Can be recommended based on tonight’s experience.

We went to the Rocco Forte Verdura Resort with our 18 month old toddler for some winter sun in March. While the weather was mixed, the hotel was wonderful. Incredible spa with lovely outdoor heated pools, beautifully maintained grounds and golf course, and exceptional service and hospitality. It was fantastic for children - free children’s meals for under 3s at all the restaurants, an amazing indoor and outdoor nursery with a kids-only pool, our room had a terrace that extended straight onto the grass enabling our son to run around freely, and they even let kids use the indoor heated spa pool in the mornings :) All the staff were so friendly and helpful with him - a particular shout out to Fabrizio who went well out of his way to help us when our kid was sick. Thank you Fabri and the whole Rocco Forte team!
