Lunch in San Candido, a lovely place, wonderful staff and owner. Very good meat and soups, amazing desserts (apple fritters, a classic but excellent). Super friendly waitress (...be careful with some characters, you need to be zen, or perhaps, as you say, drink a lot of grappa, hahaha).

Nice place, although the organization at the entrance leaves a bit to be desired. The fact that you have to go in to reserve a table creates a lot of confusion: just one person outside to take orders and give customers a time would solve the problem. Once inside, there was a bit of a wait, but given how busy it is, that's understandable. The food is very good, and the prices are in line with the area. The only downside is the bread charge. If there's a cover charge, charging a basket of bread (€3) separately is quite jarring. It's not a question of money (three euros is the price of a bottle of water), it's a matter of principle: I doubt the rest of the menu doesn't already have a decent margin. For a first course and dessert, we spent about €25 each. Overall, a good experience, but with a few details that need fixing.

The place is cute and welcoming, and we had a great time. We had an appetizer of really good cured meats and cheeses for two. Then a first course, a second course (I recommend the steak with onions), and desserts, shortbread and strudel. Generous portions. Excellent wine.

One of the few restaurants open today in San Candido for lunch. The exterior was decorated in Halloween style. The Milanese cutlet (€18) was missing its breading, which was full of oil. The pasta (€16) was served without cheese, which you have to ask for at the table. The waiters, though they tried to be polite, showed a certain impatience with customers.

Cozy restaurant, very friendly staff and extremely good cuisine

Everything was really good. We discovered this place by chance and were extremely happy with our experience. Delicious food, and the staff were friendly and helpful. Highly recommended. We'll definitely be back.
