For me, one of the best wellness hotels in all of Europe!
Perfect for couples and perfect for families? You might think that's a contradiction. But not in this case. We've been going to the Quellenhof every year for the past five years – and we always leave feeling incredibly refreshed. Our favorite features: the extensive wellness offerings, the legendary show sauna infusions, the top-notch cuisine, and the friendliness of the entire Q-Team! Plus: the new children's facilities are simply fantastic!

We stayed at the Quellenhof Luxury Resort Passeiertal for four nights over Christmas 2025 – two adults, a toddler, and a dog. We first became aware of the resort through a TV series and later via Instagram.
The booking and preparation process was exemplary. Additional services such as massages, spa treatments, and go-karting could be easily reserved in advance. All services and costs were presented transparently and clearly on the guest website. This is how modern hospitality should work.
The reception was friendly, and the room was ready for us. Unfortunately, we had our first negative experience shortly after arrival. A massage booked for the day of our arrival couldn't be scheduled due to travel problems and our son's nap, or only with considerable time pressure. We requested a postponement, not a cancellation. The spa's response was inflexible and completely unsympathetic. While formally correct, the situation was unfriendly to families and didn't live up to the standards of a five-star family resort. Furthermore, our child's meal was significantly delayed, creating unnecessary stress before the massage. The spa area (excluding the sauna and pools) was adequate, but nothing special. My wife's massage was average, while the cryotherapy and peeling treatments were excellent. The hair appointment was good, but involved an unnecessary wait, despite having a reservation.
The room, a Royal Wellness Suite, was stylish, spacious, and furnished to a high standard. The only drawback was the lack of air conditioning in winter, which made it too warm at night. The housekeeping was excellent and the staff very friendly, even towards our dog. Dogs are clearly welcome throughout the resort. The culinary offerings at the Quellenhof are outstanding. The food was consistently of a very high standard, with a superb mix of buffet and plated meals. The children's program was well-designed, and the restaurant staff were consistently professional and attentive.
The children's activities are impressive. Pools, aquapark, kids' club, kids' world, riding stables, and adventure area offer an exceptional amount of variety and quality. Christmas Eve was nicely organized for children, but the atmosphere could have been more meaningful.
A room service mishap was a definite disappointment: I ordered an ironing board and iron, but received a burger and fries. These things happen. What followed was unpleasant:
• Unnecessary phone calls while our son was almost asleep
• The doorbell ringing despite the "Do Not Disturb" sign
• The door was even opened by someone else, the dog barked, and the child woke up again.
This happened on Christmas Eve. It was unprofessional and escalated completely unnecessarily.
Two days before our departure, guests with several dogs moved into the apartment above us. They barked for hours, especially during our son's nap times.
As dog owners ourselves, we understand – but not for leaving our dogs alone for extended periods and causing such a massive disturbance.
The problem wasn't the barking itself, but the hotel's handling of it:
• No one was actively sent to locate the source
• No proactive measures were taken
• Poor internal communication
• Empty promises instead of solutions
• No room change was offered
• No tangible consequences were imposed on the guests responsible
In the end, the feeling was: "Unfortunately, there's nothing we can do." For a resort in this price range, that's simply not enough. Clear processes and decision-making authority are needed.
The Quellenhof is an exceptionally diverse and high-quality resort with excellent cuisine, superb rooms, and outstanding offerings for families. It's actually a clear five-star candidate. However, due to a lack of goodwill, a few unprofessional situations, and weak complaint management, it only earns four stars in our opinion. We will still return because the overall package is compelling. But: Those who promise excellence must also deliver it when things get complicated.

This house was the perfect choice for a short break with my best friend. Hours of chatting in the relaxation area, facials, sauna infusions, and a glass of wine at the bar in the evening – we could easily have stayed longer.

We celebrated an anniversary, and everything was carefully planned: a decorated table for dinner, a small gift in our room, and a couple's spa treatment. We felt truly special.
