February 2024: first visit since the reopening of the restaurant by the Miyabi chef. What can I say, the change is evident but it has kept many of the previous dishes in a crasis. Clear increase in price but the quality has moved accordingly. Pharaonic mixed sashimi plate.
2020 review: Still the best Japanese in Turin with very Japanese and everything good everything fantastic they make temaki tempura rolls nigiri sashimi udon tonkatsu mix of appetizers appetizers without mix mix of things fried vegetables in batter with batter without batter if you ask Everything perfect. If this place were in Japan it would still be exceptional. I would like to eat there every day but it is not possible. In Japan however the sushi is very good but here too it is very good. If you don't believe it come and try it.

Yesterday I went with my parents to this restaurant, truly sublime!! The place is very intimate, the staff is extremely kind, really very welcoming. We chose the 7-course Omakase menu (the Chef chooses the dishes for you) and it was truly an incredible experience!!. I tasted dishes that I had never tried before such as monkfish liver and seabed amberjack. I have no words to describe how good they were. All the flavors were really well balanced and each dish was a bit of a discovery. I think it's nice not knowing what the next course will be, that way there's always a sort of surprise effect that adds to the experience. All the dishes were truly delicious, the fish is of the highest quality, very fresh. In all of Turin I have never tasted such fresh fish. I found the care, choice and treatment they reserved for the raw materials incredible. It is clear that there is attention to even the smallest detail. Even the choice of ingredients is never obvious. Sometimes even an element that doesn't seem like the protagonist, like a small leaf on the plate, can surprise you (for the first time I tasted Japanese chrysanthemum, it really amazed me). One thing that struck me is that I don't usually eat certain types of fish but here they were so well prepared that they made me change my mind. For example, I usually find eel a little fatty for my tastes but this one was really tasty and not at all heavy. Not to mention the monkfish liver, I was a little prejudiced when I heard it was liver but once I put it in my mouth it was truly something wonderful, one of my favorite dishes of the evening, incredible!! The seabed amberjack was also a first and truly incredible, I would have eaten a whole kilo of it. Another honorable mention, the tempura soft shell crab, crunchy and very tender at the same time. Fantastic!!
The service is also very fast and each dish was well described and presented to us. The waitresses were really kind and very welcoming. During the evening we also had the opportunity to meet the Chef, a truly very knowledgeable and pleasant person. You can tell he's passionate about what he does and that's always great to see and engaging. He explained to us the origin and the treatment they do for some ingredients and told us that some plants are directly grown by them. In short, it gave us further confirmation of all the care they put into it.
In conclusion, I can only recommend the experience, try it because it will definitely be a place you will want to return to. I definitely will.

My partner and I chose 2 5-course tasting menus as our first dinner and experience at Wasabi. We are deeply grateful for the food and service, all exquisite. Very relaxing atmosphere and music. We will be back and highly recommend for anyone who loves good food and Japanese culture.

What can I say... I was so taken by everything that I didn't even take a photo 😅 wonderful minimal Japanese style environment, silent, tidy, reserved. Very professional, welcoming and kind staff. Sublime food, menu, courses... never eaten true Japanese at this level. Let's say a nice gift to celebrate something very important. Choice of à la carte menu, or structured tasting menus... the same goes for drinks such as sake. I highly recommend... to try at least once to find yourself without traveling to a little corner of Japan.
