Delicious food, friendly service, a sunny terrace and a lovely children's playground ❤️

We dined there in late October and were completely satisfied. The service was extremely courteous, warm, and attentive. The food was delicious and, above all, quite unique – in the best possible way. They use regional and seasonal ingredients, which makes the dishes very interesting and high-quality. Therefore, I can certainly understand the "normal" prices for the rather small portions. We found the portion sizes just right; we could enjoy a main course and dessert without feeling stuffed. We were also very impressed with the farm-made ice cream :-) The secluded location was actually quite pleasant for us.

On our South Tyrol discovery trip, we spontaneously decided to spend a few days at the Hotel Waldbichl, longer than planned, because we loved it so much. The family-run team, led by the trio of women Claudia, Irene, and Carmen, does an exceptional job in every area. The hotel was recently completely renovated and very tastefully furnished. The carpenter commissioned to create the hotel demonstrated his true mastery of his craft with many details. All in all: more than worth a trip, thank you again for the wonderful stay.

A small, family-run hotel with an adjoining restaurant, located in a stunning panoramic position. The restaurant is pleasantly furnished with extensive use of wood and a lovely veranda overlooking the Adige Valley. The cuisine offered is traditional South Tyrolean, with a limited menu but carefully prepared, high-quality dishes and generous portions. The staff is friendly, and the prices are average. Convenient parking is available, but my advice is to reach it on foot via one of the countless beautiful walks in the area.

The food was truly delicious, especially the spinach dumplings are highly recommended. Unfortunately, there are clear restrictions for dog owners: You are seated in a separate area, which is considerably less comfortable. Dogs aren't allowed in the beautiful parlor with its wooden floor, creating a feeling of "second-class society." The service and the manager were friendly, but I would have preferred more personal warmth. Addendum: Unfortunately, I would like to add that there was no advance notice that dogs weren't allowed in certain areas. If this notice had been mentioned over the phone, we would have looked elsewhere! Furthermore, as a dog owner, I find it a shame that we are increasingly being excluded, especially since some dogs are cleaner and less problematic than some people.

We've eaten here twice. A dream. A small but fine menu. Something for everyone. Clean, cozy, and simply wonderful.

Discovered through friends, after a beautiful 40-minute walk, we stopped for lunch. The food was mostly home-grown and local products, along with craft beers and much more. Highly recommended; we ate and drank really well...
