Viveur In Lecce

Great place to drink your aperitif, helpful staff, beautiful atmosphere!

Nice atmosphere, beautiful bar. However the staff ohhhh the staff. We arrived there for a drink at around 23:30 , so I asked the waiter if they were soon closing and if we could sit, he said yes. So we sat we ordered a wine and a cocktail, and after 30', they started closing down. Putting everything inside , closing the lights etc. The waiter came with the bill and asked to pay because they are closing *dah* ! They were 3 guys staff who were talking, laughing exactly near our table (standing) and looking at us constantly so we feel pressure to leave. No! We paid 18€ for 2 drinks for 30'stay and coperto 2€ !!!! Why? Why coperto for 2 glasses? This is ridiculous! We drank our drinks all at once and left. Not customer oriented , wouldn't recommend! Next time don't let people sit for a drink if in 30' you will be closing even though in here says 2.3 !

Mi hija adulta y yo pasamos cuatro noches en Lecce. Viveur estaba a un paseo de nuestro hotel, también en el casco antiguo histórico. Dos cosas nos hicieron repetir clientes durante nuestra estancia. En primer lugar, el propietario y el personal era realmente acogedor y atractivo, siempre dispuesto a comentar sobre los elementos del menú cuando teníamos preguntas. A medida que avanzaban las noches, el personal venía a hablar con nosotros, nunca con un cheque en mano para apurarnos. La segunda razón por la que Viveur era nuestro lugar "ir" era la excelente comida y bebidas. Las porciones son grandes y se presentan con arte. Los cócteles están hechos con orgullo. Nuestras salidas a Viveur nos hicieron tan felices. Esperamos que encuentres la felicidad allí también.

The atmosphere is very nice - at least outside. The selection of main courses is very small. Apparently the restaurant is aimed primarily at guests who want to drink wine or beer and would rather have a little accompaniment. The Parmigiana and the "Pitta di patate" were obviously homemade and were a revelation. The lasagna was decent. The prices were fair.
