Viva lo Re In Ercolano

I went to Viva Lo Re for a business lunch and was pleasantly surprised. The Golden Mile, with its Vesuvian villas such as Villa Campolieto, is always worth a visit: it is a unique place that combines history, art and breathtaking landscapes. The restaurant is cozy and welcoming, with an intimate atmosphere and cheerful, attentive staff. The furnishings are meticulous in detail, as is the service, which is always courteous and helpful. The wine list is extensive, with a selection that highlights local products: excellent and more than honestly priced. I started with the “Lo Re” appetizer, an experience that varies every time. In my case, it included five tastings of sea and land, all well balanced and tasty. I then continued with a simple but surprising first course: a garlic and oil enriched with a parmesan fondue, perfectly executed. A lunch that was able to combine authentic flavors and great attention to detail. I will definitely come back.

Business lunch: ate very well, spent quite a bit but you eat as you spend (my grandmother said). We took an appetizer, two stuffed mullets and two bottles of water, spending 60 euros in total. I woke up wanting to come back, I definitely recommend it.

Excellent dishes, with a finesse worthy of great restaurants. The gamberi ravioli was delicious. In the end, for the price, it's a 5/5.

Decided to come here for dinner one night and let me tell you. THEY DO NOT DISAPPOINT. For starters my family and I are not local to the country, and speak very little Italian. The chef himself came out and explained every dish to us and was so incredibly kind to us. Everything was amazing. 10/5 stars easily.

Excellent restaurant that enhances local products. The refined dishes follow one another from starter to dessert. The wine list is extensive, the Lacryma Christi del Vesuvio is divine. For this second visit we chose the suggestions of carpacio-style fish dishes, raw, and semi-cooked, a delight! The service is as good as the cuisine, despite our late arrival for lunch, the staff was welcoming with good advice and quality. If the art of the table attracts you, this is the place to book 😉
