Viva lo Re In Ercolano

Very interesting place in Ercolano that offers quality cuisine just a few steps from the excavations. We took a tasting menu to try more courses and I must say that we ate dishes of absolute quality in the ingredients, cooked to perfection and also beautiful to look at in the plating. Special mention for the raw and cooked amberjack which was amazing from my point of view. The only slightly negative note is the service which in my opinion is absolutely not up to the standard of this place. The girls are certainly kind but you can see that they have little experience and are unable to take care of the customer as they should in places that apparently aspire to a higher level of catering compared to many other places. Having said that I did not feel like penalizing the review with less than 4/5 because everything was very good and with a quality/price ratio so far really excellent. See you soon.

Good first courses even if expensive, poor service

We had a lovely time here. The food was delicious, the staff was very kind and attentive, they spoke English very well and explained the menu to us. Would definitely recommend eating here! We had a starter lo re and two mains and a dessert. Everything was very tasty. Maybe on the small side as there is not much with the second dish.

Great food, a bit pricey for the area.

Good food and service, not excellent, bathroom shameful, small and not very clean but the serious thing is that it is not divided between men and women, not even in trattorias something like this happens, I don't know if I will return

Delightful restaurant where the quality of the dishes is as excellent as the service and friendliness of the staff. We really appreciated the finesse of the different plates we tasted and enjoyed our supper greatly.

Excellent refined fish tavern with a good price/quality ratio. Elaborate but tasty MENU. Recommended.

Bene ; mancavamo da molto tempo ma si sono riconfermati nelle aspettative. Piatti più che curati e servizio curato e puntuale. Resta per noi un posto da rivisitare ancora magari in compagnia.

Conviviale la location, buone le materie prime, piacevole l’impiattamento, efficiente il servizio e conto in linea con un ristorante di questo livello. Nota positiva: parcheggio gratuito a pochi metri dal locale. Da migliorare: non sempre tutti riescono a leggere il menù appeso al muro…magari avere anche un cartaceo (o un tablet) sarebbe cosa gradita. Da rifare sicuramente come esperienza.
