Nice place...the owner, Maurizio, is very friendly. The selection of ingredients is excellent and the food is well-prepared. The only problem is parking in the area.

Wow...what a dining experience 5 courses followed by a wonderful dessert. The former Michelin restaurant still knows its craft. The restaurant is highly recommended

Excellent food, but the service is not up to the place: rudely welcomed, forgotten order and serious challenges in communicating in English (the room was full of English native speakers). That’s a shame cause in a quality place like this, you’d expecte something different. There is plenty of English-proficient young graduates and professionals in Hercolaneum, then why not hiring a couple of them to flank the current staff?

A place that never disappoints. Strengths: the quality of the ingredients, expertly prepared by the chef in ever-new and never-fading combinations, with a wide selection of first and second courses, but without overdoing it. The presentation of the specialties is always meticulous, with impressive plates and glasses. The staff's courtesy and professionalism. The fair quality-price ratio. The wide selection of wines and the perfect pairing suggestions. The location in one of the most historically and beautifully preserved parts of Herculaneum, on the Golden Mile, adjacent to Villa Campolieto and just steps from the excavations. Weaknesses? None, but if I really have to try, I'm not crazy about the cutlery rests 😊.

Als je eenvoudig en lekker wil eten, het kan! Een beperkt menu met veelvuldige smaken.
Als antipasti kozen we deze keer (een week eerder waren we hier ook al - zegt eigenlijk al genoeg, toch?) voor de pesce crudo en carpaccio di manzo. Beide gerechten eenvoudigweg in leuke en lekkere combinaties gepresenteerd.
Voor primi namen we o.a. timballo, “the best pasta ever” zo werd geciteerd door een Engelstalige juffrouw aan de tafel naast de onze. Gelijk had ze. De lasagnetta di polpo scarole e gamberi was een ontdekking. De structuur van een lasagne met tussenin de polpo scarole en gamberi in fijne stukjes.
De secondi calamari farciti voor de calamari liefhebber in combinatie met ricotta.
Beide restaurantbezoeken kostten ons telkens circa €35 p.p. incl water, 3 glazen wijn, 2 antipasti en 4 primi. De moeite meer dan waard.

El local es agradable. Tardaron un rato en tomarnos nota. La calidad de la comida buena, la cantidad escasa para el precio. Las bebidas muy caras (copa de vino de calidad justa 6€).

Very interesting place in Ercolano that offers quality cuisine just a few steps from the excavations. We took a tasting menu to try more courses and I must say that we ate dishes of absolute quality in the ingredients, cooked to perfection and also beautiful to look at in the plating. Special mention for the raw and cooked amberjack which was amazing from my point of view. The only slightly negative note is the service which in my opinion is absolutely not up to the standard of this place. The girls are certainly kind but you can see that they have little experience and are unable to take care of the customer as they should in places that apparently aspire to a higher level of catering compared to many other places. Having said that I did not feel like penalizing the review with less than 4/5 because everything was very good and with a quality/price ratio so far really excellent. See you soon.
