Virginiae In Roma

A truly delightful restaurant in the heart of Rome. The appetizers were delicious, carefully crafted, and rich in flavor, but the true masterpiece was the carbonara: extraordinary, creamy, and perfectly balanced. The atmosphere is relaxing, with pleasant but never intrusive background music, perfect for enjoying the evening. Impeccable service: waiters Silvano and Shejian were attentive, professional, and always friendly. An experience definitely worth repeating.

We ordered burrata salad, artichoke a la romana, chicken a la romana , 'vegetables plate' (which eventually included just brocoli...), meatballs and tiramisù. The artichoke a la romana was excellent! The rest was good, not more. But prices were very high, especially comparing to other restaurants in this area. Not 5 stars restaurant unfortunately.

One of the best restaurants in Rome. The bruschetta appetizer is incredible. And, for those who like oxtail, this is a must-try. Extremely pleasant service and a very rewarding experience.

A good restaurant in central Rome, easily accessible on foot. Very close to Piazza Navona and other attractions. The atmosphere is welcoming and clean, the service is fast, and the waiters are friendly. We ate well, serving typical Roman cuisine, and the prices are more or less average.

Amazing traditional , home cooked style Italian restaurant. I had the meatballs and the spinach and ricotta pasta - both were incredible . So good we tried to book a table to come back on the following day. Also in a fun neighbourhood with lots of other bars around.

Virginiae is the best restaurant we have tried in the Piazza Navona area of Rome. The diners were mostly local Italians and the atmosphere, service, and food were a world apart from the typical restaurants in the area, but with comparable prices. We shared a Caprese di bufala salad and had lasagne and ravioli for primi, and had panna cotta and tiramisu for dessert along with their local white wine. Service was not as attentive as in previous visits, probably because they were very busy. We will definitely make reservations at Virginiae the next time we are in Rome!

A wonderful meal to satisfy my gnocchi craving. The atmosphere was elegant but friendly and the service was genuinely gracious. My husband had the cacio e Pepe and it was also satisfying. Definitely a paradise.

Amazing restaurant! The food is all spectacular with large portions and reasonably priced for what you get (ie be careful how much you order). We had had a large lunch so our appetite wasn't large which was a shame as all the food we had were great. Our server Shejan (Silvano helped out as well) were all attentive and friendly. We started with the artichoke which was in season and good (to be transparent it wasn't bad but we had just come from Milano and we preferred the Milano way of preparing artichoke). We also ordered a nice bottle of Barolo wine for 80 euros. Then I had the pappardella sugo coda which was unbelievable! My wife had ravioli burro salvia which she raved about. Then I ordered the trippa alla romana . . . .Mama Mia!!! What a delicious dish! We had ordered two side salads as well (prob should have only ordered one and shared) which were ok. Overall the experience was amazing. We definitely will come back. The night we were there there was two large (I mean large) Italian groups of customers. If Italians are eating at a place you know its the real deal and my wife and I can assure you it was amazing! My mouth is watering just thinking of how great the food was! The service was amazing and the ambiance cozy. No complaints! We highly recommend! We come to Rome a lot and definitely will be back and can't wait to come back again!
