Amazing food, atmosphere and service. We arrived just before the afternoon closing on January 1, 2025 and they took us in as if we were their first guests of the day. We were the last table out but you could not have known by the kind way we were treated. Everything was amazing-artichoke, ravioli, veal, steak. And the tiramisu at the end was literally the icing on the cake! Buon anno!

Overall, an okay meal relative to the quality compared to other places in the area. The tables felt cramped, especially with the large
plates. The wine glasses not cleaned properly with streaks and spots on few of them. The dishes tasted very salty and pasta not as good(compared to Come 'na Vorta Pasta e Vino, a chain, for example). Wines have higher markup(especially for those younger bottles). Also, pay attention to the waiter stating service charge not included, it is. Look at the receipt carefully.

This was the one restaurant that we ended up visiting twice while in Roma. If I didn’t know any better, I’d swear my Nonna was in the kitchen. And if you come here, insist on Silvano as your server. I’ve been on this planet for over 50 years, and this was the most genuine person that I’ve ever had the pleasure of being in company with at a restaurant. He took care of me and my family like we were his own, and Ristorante Virginiae will be the first stop I make on my next trip to Roma. Authentic Roman food made with only the finest ingredients. The meatballs brought me back to my childhood with every bite. And the lasagna was amazing! I can’t say enough about the food and the service. Definitely our best meal in Roma!

The first time in my life I have ever ordered the same dish a second time in the same meal - spaghetti carbonara. The service was exceptional too and they were quite hospitable to our young children.

Virginiae now always proves to be a confirmation! Two couples, we tasted carbonara, amatriciana, gricia and a pasta with pesto without garlic made by them: all really delicious. The attention to gluten-free was excellent: gricia and pesto with gluten-free spaghetti were perfect. The tiramisu, then, was spectacular. Highly recommended!
