The place is truly beautiful: you can experience the balance between past and present, held together by good taste and an ever-appreciated, attentive touch of humanity. Villa Matilde is certainly a place not only to visit, but to return to. The food is delicious and perfectly in tune with the local area; the service is always attentive, friendly, and never intrusive. The wine is certainly high-quality and exceptional. There are many noteworthy aspects, but, above all, many that make the difference: the Chef, Alfonso; Alessia in the dining room, Miriam, with her warm attention. Special thanks to Maria Cristina and Maria Ida Avallone, who expertly maintain the legacy and perspective of a history that has undoubtedly contributed to enhancing the value and culture of Campania's winemaking. With gratitude, Clotilde, Antonio, Marika, and Gennaro.

Fantastic experience... We did a tasting and tour of the vineyards and cellars with Miriam, a wonderful person, very knowledgeable and kind. A quiet place, I highly recommend it.

I had the pleasure of dining here with friends on an unforgettable evening, where every detail contributed to the perfect experience: from the warm and refined atmosphere, with thoughtful furnishings creating an intimate yet convivial atmosphere ideal for romantic dinners or outings with friends, to the attentive and professional service of the staff, always friendly and ready to recommend impeccable pairings between dishes and excellent Campania wines. The cuisine is the true highlight, with the freshest, highest-quality ingredients transformed into succulent grilled dishes, original platters in the shape of Italy's regions filled with cured meats and cheeses, and expertly reinterpreted regional specialties, offering generous portions, authentic flavors, and thoughtful presentations that captivate from the first sip. The wine list is another highlight, with an interesting selection ranging from classic local labels to more original options, perfect to accompany every course. To top it all off, convenient parking and easy reservations make the place accessible and convenient. I'll be back soon and highly recommend it to anyone who wants to experience the true essence of Neapolitan cuisine in a warm and convivial atmosphere.

02/03/2026: Great food and excellent service. A wonderful Valentine's Day evening
20/02/2026: We visited this restaurant as part of a large group visiting Casertavecchia (a must-see medieval town), and to my surprise, the food was excellent. Everyone (there were nine of us at the table) was satisfied, and the facts speak louder than words: all the dishes were polished off. The appetizer of ham, cheese, grilled eggplant, and mushroom polenta was delicious, but the porcini mushroom risotto was especially enjoyable. And what can I say about the mixed grill with a side of truly excellent French fries? Apparently, it's a favorite among the Caserta residents, despite the fact that the place is 10 km from the center of Caserta. It must be a real treat, especially in the summer, given its location at 401 meters above sea level, perhaps during a visit to the old town, where there are numerous shops and restaurants. For those who want to see photos, the website offers plenty of them.
