Villa Govi Ristorante In Diano castello

I stayed at this property during a short winter getaway in Liguria. Unfortunately, due to the season, I wasn't able to fully enjoy the outdoor space, which is truly worthwhile for its splendid views. The highlight is undoubtedly the owner, who proved to be a delightful, kind, and very helpful person. Breakfast was also very good, although, in keeping with local tradition, I would have appreciated a savory option or a small taste of Ligurian focaccia. The only downside was the room, which fell short of my expectations, especially considering the €100 price tag. The furnishings are far too minimalist and lack counter space; the bed, with a spring mattress, was unfortunately uncomfortable. Thermal comfort was also subpar: the radiators were turned off, and heating was provided solely by the heat pump air conditioning. Overall, a wonderful welcome, but the room could use some improvement in terms of detail and comfort.

The restaurant serves delicious seafood dishes. We really enjoyed our dinner here. The rooms were a bit outdated and had some damp in it.

The four of us spent a wonderful birthday evening with our kids at Villa Govi. The restaurant is beautifully situated on a small hill, easily accessible on foot from the town, yet quietly surrounded by greenery. The terrace offers a fantastic view of Diano Marina and the sea. Now for the most important thing: the food: Villa Govi ​​offers a small but fine menu with creative interpretations of Ligurian specialties. The tuna wasn't served in the traditional way, but as a tataki. Melon with cheese and avocado. But there are also classics like fritto misto and pesto, all with exceptionally friendly and attentive service, and above all, it's family-friendly. Sharing dishes, extra plates for the kids—all no problem. The prices range from normal to slightly higher, but are definitely commensurate with the quality and service.

My husband and I had lunch there on the last Sunday in August: the location is charming, the service friendly and competent, the food exquisite, with moments of "absolute delight," and the price was fair. An excellent discovery!

Nice little hotel with restaurant

I had the opportunity to dine at this splendid location as a guest. It was truly splendid, situated in a magnificent position overlooking the sea from the hilltop. The staff were extremely friendly, their dishes were meticulously prepared, and everything was truly excellent! Definitely recommended! A wonderful experience!

I can only rate the dinner at the restaurant. Very nice location, very quiet, and no parking issues. The food was excellent, with excellent quality ingredients. I would only recommend a little more punch in the first courses. The raw seafood and desserts were excellent. Very attentive and friendly service. The final price was very fair. Recommended!!
