We ate at O Paulo for Christmas lunch with the family. The menu was fixed and it was fine. However, we are difficult customers, because out of 6 people, 1 is celiac, 1 is a vegetarian, 1 is intolerant to various foods... in short, they could have invited us to stay at home. Instead they were VERY KIND and made everyone happy, eating genuine and very good dishes. Not only do we thank them but we will definitely return.

Abbiamo mangiato da O Paulo per il pranzo di Natale con la famiglia. Il menù era fisso ed andava benissimo. Noi però siamo clienti difficili, perché su 6 persone 1 è celiaca, 1 vegetariana, 1 intollerante a diversi alimenti....insomma, potevano invitarci a restare a casa. Invece sono stati GENTILISSIMI ed hanno accontentato tutti, mangiando piatti genuini e molto buoni. Non solo li ringraziamo ma ci torneremo sicuramente.

Let me start by saying that you can eat very well in a small but welcoming place. The cuisine is homemade so few but "right" dishes. What I can criticize is that the menu is really very limited. Too little choice especially for starters and side dishes which don't exist! There are no side dishes on the menu so your vegetarian friends won't be able to come!

I didn't know this place, but I was pleasantly surprised. Excellent home-made food, mixed starter with superlative branda cuiun, excellent first and second courses and truly amazing lemon cake with meringue. Adequate price. Compliments to the chef and yes service guys.

Vegia ostaia Da o Po"ulu ..via Siperiore Gazzo 30 ..Sestri Ponente Genova. Opens at 7.00pm..in this old tavern you can savor authentic Ligurian dishes, including pasta with pesto, ravioli and spaghetti with anchovy sauce, with an appetizer, 2 second courses, desserts, a bottle of white wine, a bottle of water, together with... stockfish, Ligurian rabbit, farinata made in a wood oven, pork loin with baked potatoes, breaded anchovies, ravioli a u Tuccu, tagliolini with octopus, stuffed Sabrina, fried anchovies, panisette and cuckoos, green tagliatelle with mushrooms. I must tell you that this small tavern on the heights of Sestri is run by two friendly and very kind young people who offer a courteous and fast service. very welcoming and the room has wooden tables and chairs with checked tablecloths typical of the old Genoese taverns... where you can eat in complete relaxation with friends.
