We had dinner at Clara's on Sunday evening.... Intrigued by the style and the excellent reviews we were very happy... the girl who served us was very, very kind but like all the staff the food was excellent... worth trying

Recommended to me From the reception of the hotel where I am staying this week in Gallipoli I wanted to book in trust: In this restaurant where as soon as I arrived I immediately felt at home, I didn't even have time to sit down and the bowl of water was already ready For my dachshund here dogs are welcome. We took a look at the menu and in the meantime a very nice girl showed us the catch of the day, illustrating the various options off the menu and we opted for a cooked starter. Cod in an almond crust. Mussel stew. Octopus balls. the other delicious and a raw appetizer consisting of tuna tartare, oysters and French purple prawns from Gallipoli and raw scampi (all totally fresh) Then we took 2 paccheri with lobster and for my 2 little girls Orecchiette with tomato which the little girls liked very much to the last bite. For the second course, my wife and I enjoyed an excellent salt-encrusted snapper. Really delicious. Special thanks to Rosario, the owner's son, who recommended an excellent local rosé to pair with our dinner. After dinner, we finished off with a small and nice cannavacciuolo. he showed us the desserts for me, for my wife, a delicious homemade tiramisu and for my 2 little girls, an excellent spumone (typical ice cream) with crunchy cheese. Even though the restaurant was full, the service was impeccable, we waited a few more minutes for the preparation of the first courses but we know good things need time to be prepared this is the synonym of express cuisine and not pre-cooked cuisine and then it runs all year round so relax....Mrs. Clara is an excellent host from home He offered us a coffee and some typical sweets Accompanied by the bill We paid a little too much in my opinion but we know that quality has a price so I didn't pay much attention to this and for this reason I decided to rebook for Sunday and I will return without thinking twice. It was a sublime experience to dine in this location which offers 100% fresh products, cleanliness and service despite the numerous diners present, perfect, attentive and impeccable. We had dinner in this restaurant a week ago in Gallipoli and considering the large influx of tourists we immediately found a seat at the tables outside. For two adults and two children we had an octopus salad, a plate of spaghetti with seafood, a half sleeve with octopus and caciocavallo fondue, seared tuna, a portion of fried potatoes and the inevitable raw Gallipoli prawns. We ate really well, in addition to the quality of the fresh and first choice food, from the first taste it was immediately clear that there was careful research behind the preparation of the dishes. The staff were friendly, knowledgeable and available for all our requests. Excellent value for money. Advised.

Very nice place in the historic center, 10/15 minutes walk from the port. The food is very good, although some of the clams in the first course, Orecchiette with seafood, were not so good. The staff is friendly, but not very helpful and attentive, after 3/5 minutes of ordering I asked if it was possible to change a first course (we also ordered the starters so there was time), they told me they would ask in the kitchen (they never asked and therefore no change, but it went well anyway); at the end of dinner we asked for two coffees which arrived after about 10 minutes because the waitress had forgotten. The service is a bit slow. There were two of us and we ordered 3 starters, 2 first courses and a fried calamari only (a little skimpy) and drinks; the bill was €110.

We had dinner in this restaurant on August 1, 2024. The restaurant, located in the heart of old Gallipoli, stands out for its welcoming and well-kept environment, both in the external and internal spaces. The staff proved to be particularly friendly and attentive to our needs, with a fast and efficient service. Excellent quality food. The fish is very fresh and carefully prepared. The prices are honest and perfectly in line with the quality and quantity of the dishes. A quality-price ratio that left us more than satisfied. Being tourists, the restaurant was recommended to us by a local contact, and we can confirm that the advice turned out to be excellent. The venue fully won over our group, made up of six tourists from Bologna and one from Lecce, who enthusiastically approved this choice.

Very good seafood and fish restaurant. Special mention to the lobster with its tomato pasta 😋.

Every summer I find myself in Gallipoli for the holidays and I can't miss my appointment with Clara!!!!! Fresh fish cooked with love which makes it excellent (redfish in crazy water....etc) Delicious first courses!!! Even the dessert is no exception. Polite and efficient staff. Don't miss to taste his cuisine if you are in Gallipoli 😉
