Valdo restaurant In Forlì

I've been going to Ristorante da Valdo for years and have always had a great time. Last night I went with my family and a couple of friends; there were six of us, and we had a pizza together. After ordering our pizzas, I politely asked the waitress if she could cut all the pizzas into slices. The waitress replied in an annoyed tone that it wasn't possible because it was too much work. The dining room wasn't so crowded that I didn't have time to cut six pizza slices. I'm disappointed because I've always had a great experience there and have never received a response like that.

Aside from the somewhat spartan location, it's a restaurant where the food is good and everything is homemade. Good service and reasonable prices. Plus, on Saturday evenings, if you book in advance, you can enjoy the musical company of Orfeo, a great piano bar character... Recommended.

I've eaten at Valdo's restaurant several times for lunch. For just €13, you get a cover charge, a bottle of water, various starters, including the excellent lasagna, and various main courses, including the excellent rabbit. Bread, fruit, and dessert are also included. The only drawback is finding parking nearby.

What can I say? It's a simple place, serving Romagna dishes, cooked very well. The function room could use a bit of modernization. The location is a club, so there's nothing more to add. Always busy, with very friendly staff and a true gentlemanly owner.
