We reached this refuge on foot, starting from the cable car (about 50 minutes). The food was good and home-cooked; the only complaint was that the meat for one of our group arrived after we'd all finished lunch; perhaps it would have been better to let them know the cooking time. Otherwise, everything was delicious and highly recommended.

A practically unique restaurant and refuge after hours in Armentara. Fast service, friendly waitresses in Ladin uniforms. Prices are very reasonable considering the altitude and the obvious difficulty in reaching a refuge. E-bikes can be charged. Beautiful sunny terrace overlooking the valley. Limited space inside, but you can appreciate the all-wood furnishings and construction. A recommended stop.

A beautifully situated ranch, accessible by hiking through the Armentara meadows. From there, you have a wonderful view of the Dolomites and the surrounding mountain meadows.

It's good to eat well after a demanding hike or bike ride. And even better when you can sample the local cuisine and its delicacies. We were pleasantly surprised by the soup on bread and the pierogi with ricotta and spinach. The eggs and speck on potatoes were a bit too salty, but overall, it's still worth recommending. The helpful and courteous staff add to the charm of this place, and the views are breathtaking. It's beautiful and delicious.

29/09/2025: What a local gem! The food is so fresh and delicious and the Kaiserschmarren is a must-try. Very surreal to share a meal with such an incredible view.

06/11/2025: We have been guests at the Schießstand restaurant for over 20 years during our holidays and know the Morandell family personally. Since then, they have provided outstanding gastronomic services in Tramin, further improving their service through new concepts. The pizzas and dishes are still top-notch; a visit to the Schießstand is still a MUST!!!!
