An amazing sushi spot in beautiful downtown Sarasota. Atmosphere is clean, hip and welcoming. The service was fantastic! Sushi was tasty and innovative! We had an overall fabulous time.

My brother and I have been in town for ten days and have eaten here twice in that time. The second meal was for my birthday because I enjoyed the atmosphere and high quality and fresh sushi. I can’t speak more highly of this restaurant and have been eating sushi for more than 40 years❤️❤️❤️

The food visually looks very presentable. But the flavor just wasn’t there. The food was still good and I would’ve given 4 stars, but the prices are wayyyyy too high for food that was just missing that flavor. It’s downtown so be careful with the street parking.

Amazing place! Highly recommend. Really good quality sushi, service was awesome and very accommodating for gluten-free. Will definitely be back!

Got the Atomic, Godzilla, & Crunchy tuna rolls. Utamaro staff is very accommodating bc we don't like cream cheese in our rolls. All good rolls n our fav remains the godzilla roll, no cream cheese, sub cucumber. Super light tempura fried roll n topped w tuna. It keeps us coming back to try others but wins everytime as our fav.

I recently dined at Utamaro in Sarasota, Florida, and it was an exceptional experience! The sushi was incredibly fresh, with each piece beautifully prepared and bursting with flavor. The friendly and attentive staff made the meal even more enjoyable. If you’re in Sarasota and love sushi, Utamaro is a must-visit!

Hokkaido Sushi

11/01/2025: Hokkaido is an excellent restaurant that offers a variety of Japanese and Chinese cuisine. Food quality always very good. The guys who take care of the service are always very friendly and the dishes arrive very quickly. Parking is not a problem. When we are in these parts we always come very willingly. Super recommended. See you soon!

Sayuri - Japanese, Cult & Style

26/10/2024: It's been a long time since I've been here... coming back and finding some good sushi in a nice location brightened up my evening. Should we go back? Certainly more often.
06/10/2024: If you want to eat excellent sushi you have to come here! The service on Saturdays is slower because there are many seats, so I recommend going during the week. For the rest it is a guarantee
