I discovered Osteria Da Checco my first night in The Dolomites and was I ever happy because it became my go to place. The food is amazing, the restaurant itself has an incredible view. And best of all the staff are welcoming and friendly. Their main concern is that you are happy and well served. I ate many dishes on the menu, the beef tartare, the rib steak, the octopus salad, Checco’s spareribs (a must), and the veal wiener schnitzel. Everything dish is superb. They also have an incredible wine list. And their olive oil is so good you’ll want to drink it. If you’re in Ortisei this place is a must. A special thank you to everyone that took care of me.

Beautiful environment. The owner is kind, but not so the girls serving. Never a hint of a smile. Very dry in their ways.
Microfiltered water at 5 euros is an exaggerated price. The price of all dishes is supported.
Then for heaven's sake... you are in Ortisei...

Restaurant in the center of Ortisei with a very refined environment (also has outdoor tables). The service is delicious and very fast. Excellent dishes, excellent quality ingredients and a good wine list. We had a wonderful evening.

Beautiful restaurant, too bad it's not suitable for families, with two little girls we were a little uncomfortable because they looked at us badly when the girls raised their voices a little (nothing scary). Still, great food!

A few steps and a small climb from the center of Ortisei this is a very good restaurant for a dinner based on meat and typical dishes of high altitude villages. Very friendly girls and owner very attentive to service. Slightly high prices as in all of Val Gardena. Venue with an excellent outdoor area and exclusively dedicated parking

My wife and I came here for dinner a few nights ago and were absolutely blown away. From the warm service of the staff to the delicious meals, we were very impressed. We ordered the beetroot taglioni, tagliatelle deer ragout, deer medallions and tiramisu and were so happy with every one of these dishes. The pasta was perfectly cooked as were the deer. We would highly recommend this restaurant and wish to come back one day in the future!

Friendly, knowledgeable and very professional staff. Clean and very well maintained facility. Excellent quality of the raw materials, which, added to the perfect cooking and plating, were able to produce dishes that best expressed the flavors of the food used.
