An absolutely unforgettable dinner... Before booking I looked at the menu... when I ordered the lobster was missing... the sea urchins were missing... I had to settle for what was available... I had octopus on a bed of arugula and cherry tomatoes as an appetizer... no flavor. Four pieces of octopus... let's say a mixed salad... for the first course paccheri with tuna and aubergines... zero flavor... no oil... tasteless... to top it all off, millefeuille with cream... inedible... and served on a decorated plate... At the end, the waiter, who seemed very kind, asked me if everything was okay... obviously I said no. I explained the reasons, but it was to make improvements... and instead this kid acted arrogantly... the only positive thing was the kindness of the waitress..

Historic restaurant on the port of Scario, 'U Zifaro is a stop that feels like home, like a grandmother's home from the sea. Seafood cuisine faithful to tradition, featuring the catch of the day and dishes expertly executed: from raw seafood to linguine with sea urchins, to a mixed grill for two. The outdoor patio on the waterfront overlooking the port is poetic and makes the experience special. The bill isn't cheap, but the quality of the ingredients and the location make it worth it at least once. Courteous service, a relaxed pace, and a genuine atmosphere. Highly recommended for those who want to rediscover the flavors of the sea as they once were. Reservations are recommended during high season, but we went for lunch in early September.

I've never understood why it's so difficult to eat fresh, simply prepared fish. Here, I ate divinely fresh fish, served professionally by kind and attentive staff. Vito's hospitality is a plus, making us feel at home every time we return.

A top-notch restaurant in Scario (SA), right on the marina. The menu lives up to local culinary tradition and the prices are moderate. The service is professional, fast, and courteous, and the location overlooking the sea is top-notch. Recommended.

From the welcome, to the service, to the food.
We dined at this restaurant on Ferragosto (August 15th), and even though we hadn't booked, they seated us.
The prices are, yes, a bit high, especially for the starters, but the quality and flavor met and exceeded our expectations.
I would gladly return.

I'm a regular at this restaurant every summer, and it's never disappointed me. Unfortunately, this year wasn't the case.
The prices (I could be wrong) have skyrocketed.
We ordered linguine with sea urchins and tuna bottarga (€27), delicious! I'd go back just to have it again because it was truly delicious.
We continued with a mixed grill (€55) and a plate of grilled vegetables (€12). Both the grilled meat and the vegetables were paltry for the price. Furthermore, the grilled meat arrived almost cold due to some mix-ups between the wait staff and the kitchen.
It's a real shame because I can accept the price increase, but service and food quality must go hand in hand.
Except for that delicious linguine with sea urchins and bottarga, I WOULD NOT GO BACK.

Fermarsi per una cena da U’ Zifaro è un’esperienza imperdibile, che chiunque dovrebbe provare almeno una volta nella vita… Gli antipasti sono ottimi, i primi una delizia, i secondi con contorni imperdibili ed i dolci una degna conclusione: cito soltanto a mo’ di esempio i paccheri al pesce spada e melanzane gustosi e degni di uno chef stellato, il fritto imperiale saporito ed abbondante, il contorno di cicoria con olive nere che ricorda i piatti della nonna, la millefoglie che si scioglieva in bocca… se poi aggiungete la splendida posizione sul golfo dove lo sguardo corre fino a Diamante, l’ottimo rapporto qualità/prezzo (i costi sono onestissimi per le delizie che si mangiano ed ogni euro vale la spesa), la professionalità e la gentilezza del cameriere e la spontaneità e la simpatia travolgente di Vito capirete perché vale la pena programmare il proprio cammino per fare almeno una sosta in questo paradiso.

We are a couple living in the Netherlands, spending a week on holiday in the Cilento region, in the town of Scario. During our stay, we discovered the restaurant U Zifaro, and it was a truly wonderful surprise!
We had dinner on the terrace with a sea view, which offers a breathtaking view and a very relaxing atmosphere.
The staff was very kind and welcoming. A special thanks to Mario, a local young man who was polite, courteous, and very professional in serving us.
We ordered the swordfish with citrus, which was delicious—fresh and perfectly cooked. Following Mario’s recommendation, we paired it with a Friulian white wine, which turned out to be an excellent choice. The desserts were also amazing, the perfect way to end a fantastic meal.
We highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for great seafood, stunning views, and excellent service.
