The bar was average. I had the hot food, and it was good. Another evening I was looking for ricotta cassatelle because they advertise having them express all day, but unfortunately the pastry chef wasn't there.

It's a fairly typical bar that you will find in Italy but; this one is large, bright and with a wide variety of drinks and baked goods. We will be making this our go to place when we will be living in the neighborhood.

We came because we saw a review saying there were vegan alternatives. But that wasn't the case, and we realized we were bothering them by asking for something vegan. They only offered ice cream... So, not for vegans.

Delicious coffee; we went there twice. Freshly made cannoli, delicious ricotta—the best I've had in Sicily so far. Huge portions. Delicious cornetto, available in a vegan version! This place was also open on May 1st, when shops were closed. I recommend stopping here.

The best cannoli we had during our week-long stay in Sicily was in Syracuse and Palermo, and neither even comes close to the one served at Tropical Bar. The one here is more cheesy. The coffee is large for Italy, which is a plus for me.

21/05/2026: After exploring Erice, we came here for dinner. The food, the Ericina busiata and the Trapanese busiata, were delicious. The day before, I booked a table with an amazing view on WhatsApp. The service was friendly, courteous, and quick. We recommend it.
08/05/2026: We ate at this restaurant the other day, and it was delicious. The second course was also quite good and tasty. The service was impeccable, and the waiters were very kind and also very good at waiting tables. We'll definitely be back soon.
