A great find, a spacious, quaint dining room with well-spaced tables. Friendly, attentive staff. The food...what can I say?! Everything was excellent. Highly recommended. The desserts were delicious. The price was in line with the service and quality of the food. We'll be back.

Weekday business lunch. It's a shame the main course arrived cold and the risotto was incredibly salty. My colleague asked for a change, which was done without a problem, but the very salty risotto remained.

We tried the cassoeula and were very pleased, delicious. It was accompanied by an excellent Forzato, and a dessert to finish, all made by the chef. The service and staff were courteous, helpful, and knowledgeable. The atmosphere was both familiar and elegant. All in all, a very pleasant day.

While traveling for work, I stopped for a quick lunch and I'd say everything was very good. I opted for the main course, but as an alternative, in addition to the à la carte menu, there is a buffet option. I recommend booking.

I went for lunch to try the Cassuela (trowel). I had a great time: excellent food, good service, and attentive customer service. Then it was served with Friulian grappa, which I'd say was top-notch!

I recently dined at La Vecchia Fornace and was very impressed! The atmosphere is welcoming and the staff is extremely friendly. The dishes are prepared with fresh ingredients, and the homemade pasta was delicious. The desserts, in particular, were fantastic! The location, surrounded by greenery, is perfect for a special evening. I highly recommend La Vecchia Fornace.

Went for lunch and was very pleased with both the buffet and the main course (pork with potatoes, which I tried for the first time), and very pleased with the dessert, which a friend recommended to me: zuppa inglese. The place was also very beautiful and quaint. Compliments for everything. Highly recommended.

29/09/2025: What can really make a difference in a restaurant isn't the quality of the food, which you might find in many other places, but rather courtesy, helpfulness, and empathy. I found all these qualities in this delightful restaurant. I went to Monza, to the Autodromo, for a running race and had booked a table ahead of time. Due to poor event organization (by the organizers and the municipality), we unfortunately had a significant delay compared to our reservation. Naturally, we notified the restaurant, expecting them to reject our reservation given our significant delay (also close to closing time). Despite this, we were still welcomed, even very warmly, and offered excellent service. What more can I say? Other than an immense thank you ❤️ I will recommend this restaurant to everyone and will definitely return when I'm in Monza again. This kindness is very rare, a little gem that sets you apart. Oh right, the food? Nothing to say, everything wonderful and excellent value. Thank you.

09/03/2026: Excellent food typical of the area and the Valsassina valley. The waitresses were excellent!
14/02/2026: Dining at Gilberto's is always a pleasure. You're greeted with a smile and kindness. Traditional Lombard dishes are seasonal. A very extensive wine list. Truly fair prices. It's best to book well in advance.
