The ice creams are excellent, the cocktails exceptional. Furthermore, for high school students and those just starting out, the adjacent gardens, filled with pittosporum, make summer evenings romantic and cool. It's definitely worth a try, and its decades-old charm is well worth it, even though recently some groups of overly lively young people have attracted the attention of the police, ruining the evenings of those who, for the most part, were there to enjoy themselves.
