Trattoria Rustica SAS Di Caccia Salvatore & C. In Genova

To my great surprise in the locality of Rivarolo I came across the rustic trattoria, an old-fashioned place, with a warm atmosphere and home cooking, accurate service and excellent cuisine, I will definitely return, I recommend it

Today we met this trattoria recommended to us by a chef friend, rustic in name and in fact but extremely familiar and welcoming. Gabriele welcomes us and has been managing it for a few years together with mother Pina, queen of the kitchen. Few dishes on the menu but masterfully packaged, the best stewed stockfish I've never tasted before, the first courses are delicious and Pina's chocolate cake is excellent. The service is friendly and attentive, the Friday group recommends frequenting it, moderate prices.

Una vera, classica trattoria: atmosfera informale, piatti semplici ma buoni e prezzi davvero bassi. Perfetta per una pausa pranzo.

The restaurant offers a fixed menu both during the week and on weekends. I was there on a gloomy Saturday and the area seemed a bit sad to me. The place is rustic and I believe it has remained as it was 60 years ago. The choice on the menu is limited...2 first courses and 2/3 second courses. In my opinion, the dishes should be a little more generous, both in quantity and in seasoning. But I can't criticize the cuisine... very simple but not bad. I had a Carbonara and stockfish. I understand they haven't been open that long... so I think it can improve.
