Trattoria Rosmarino In Genova

Second time here and the food, service and vibe is great. The beef tartare is exceptional and their specials hit hard too. Good wine choices too. A favourite of Genova

Eating dinner will be disappointing because eating lunch here was so good. We got the tonno in panzanella as a starter, and trofie al pesto and maialino arrosto for our mains - all were exceptionally delicious

As promised, we are back. Everything was excellent, the service has definitely improved!! Refined dishes and perfect ingredients!! It was a pleasure to spend an evening in a welcoming and comfortable place in the historic center.

Excellent restaurant, fast and attentive service. Not to be missed!

We wanted to try a typical dish and we left super satisfied. The place is very nice and practically in the center, the service was excellent right from the table reservation, super helpful. We ordered the meat tartare as a starter and the Trofie with pesto as a first course. Incredible, absolutely recommended. The trofie were fresh and melted in your mouth, the pesteo enveloping. The abundant dish. To conclude we ordered the ice cream made by them with wild strawberries, which was also very good. We didn't drink wine but they are also provided in this respect. More than positive experience.

First and most important: the food was really, really good. The prices are extremely fair. From a purely culinary perspective, we really enjoyed the dinner. The downside is the stressed atmosphere. Our dinner was on the first shift. At 7:30 p.m. We ordered three courses. Wonderful baccala and tartare from Fassona beef. Afterwards there was Trippa and Taiatelle with Pulpo. As already mentioned: everything was very well cooked. For dessert we had delicious pineapple with mint and ginger. A great combination. And a very good tiramisu. The whole three courses took less than an hour and we were completely finished! Plus a bottle of wine for two within 1 hour. A real challenge. It all just happened too quickly. The service staff was visibly stressed. It's a shame to have to put this good food and delicious wine behind us in such a short time. When I paid I was asked if everything was okay. I said it was actually very good. But I mentioned that we felt very stressed. I was told that it was just like that because they had two shifts and the price pressure was just very high. Unfortunately, they have this problem very often with Swiss people. Oh well. The catering industry is really stressful. That is well known. But the guest shouldn't feel it. To be honest, I found the flippant answer “that’s just the way it is” a bit of a shame. So while the good food remains in your memory, the overall impression of a really stressful evening unfortunately prevails. By the way: looking at the placemat where the label “Slow food” is written at the top right was kind of funny.

Siamo stati in questa trattoria sotto consiglio di una commessa del centro, appena entrati ho avuto una bella impressione per via della cucina a vista, ma una volta arrivati i piatti non ne sono rimasta entusiasta per come mi aspettavo, siamo a Genova e trovo nel cestino del pane una specie di focaccia lontanamente somigliante all’originale, buonissimo vino frappato Siciliano e ottimo dolce, personalmente non ci tornerei!

Sono venuto qui sotto consiglio di un autista dell'ATM che sta a Genova da molti anni. Comunque ho prenotato, anche se è mercoledì...comunque volevo provare il famoso pesto genovese..."trofie al pesto "...mi aspettavo più verde....comunque le assaggio ma non resto stupefatto...forse non è il piatto forte. Può darsi che ci ritornerò.
