Very simple place with a veranda. Service was a bit slow.
We had to ask for bread.
The gnocchi were good but not exceptional.
The fried porcini mushrooms were heavily breaded.
The grilled meat for two wasn't anything special, but it was expensive.
The coffee, at €1.70, was a bit steep.
In short, the prices are quite high for the quality of the atmosphere and food, which I'd say are average.
I recommend that the manager review their prices.

We went for lunch yesterday while visiting Bologna for the day. Since we were on a motorbike, we were looking for something outside the city center and the city walls. The location was welcoming. I only liked the tortelli; the rest was average, and I honestly didn't get the grilled meat. Obviously, it's not the local specialty, but you could do better. The bill was a bit steep, in my opinion. It was an experience worth trying anyway.

The service was impeccable, with friendly and professional staff who treated us with care and attention. The cuisine was fantastic, with creative dishes and delicious flavors that fully met our expectations. We also had a trio of first courses.
Our table was located in a quiet corner of the garden, with a wonderful view of the surrounding countryside. We enjoyed the song of the buzzards and the scent of the flowers as we savored our dishes.
The quality of the food was exceptional, with fresh ingredients and creative preparations. The service was fast and attentive, and the staff treated us with a smile. Don't hesitate to visit.

We went for Sunday lunch after a short hike in the area. It was the only place with seating. It's hard to go wrong with restaurants and trattorias in the area.
The three of us had a trio of first courses: the tortelloni were superb, the tagliatelle excellent, and the maccheroncini interesting, which would have been a bit of a departure from the menu's tradition.
The fried porcini mushrooms were delicious. The friendly and approachable service, with complimentary liqueurs at the end, made it possible to overlook the somewhat lengthy wait for the second courses (but understandable, as the place was packed and there are plenty of seats). If we had to nitpick, the portion of the trio, for three people, could have been a bit larger, and the house red isn't exceptional, but it deserves a full recommendation.

I've been a Rivabella customer for 20 years, when it was still in the old location and I'd go with friends or my parents. So my husband and I decided to choose it as the place to celebrate our first wedding anniversary. I appreciate the new location; it's very cute and well-kept. The helpfulness and kindness of the owner and waiters is unquestionable. It took a while, true, but it's Sunday and the place was packed. The fried cream was excellent, and the friggione was delicious. My husband also enjoyed his braciola and baked potatoes. We're already ready to go back!

A historic restaurant revitalized by a true Bolognese that celebrates tradition. On a random lunchtime, I rediscovered the authentic Bologna of this area by savoring a rich and well-prepared menu: tortellini, truffled eggs, fried mushrooms, and crescentine. In short, impeccable. Keep it up.
