Trattoria Picaló In Spongano

A typical restaurant, authentic cuisine, and everything homemade—we thoroughly enjoyed it! We had a wonderful time as a family. The service is pleasant and the setting is beautiful, a small square with lovely, illuminated decor. I highly recommend it.

Very charming location in the square and honest prices

A very interesting place, discovered by chance. Delicious food made with top-quality local ingredients. Excellent wine selection, friendly and knowledgeable staff, and a reasonable price. We'll definitely be back. Recommended.

The mains were okay and some menu items really stood out. The Antipasti Mortadella in Carrozza was delicious, with cheese melted over the thickly sliced meat. The Dolce Tiramisu Salentino was also amazing—the locally adapted version of a tiramisu, with caramelized almonds instead of ladyfingers. The outdoor seating on the large Piazza in the town center was nice. The service was very attentive and friendly.
