Genuine and traditional place, the lady even gave a shoulder bag to my parents who loved the place and the good food, everyone was very kind. In winter it is recommended to turn up the heating a little.

TRATTORIA....of ONCE I went for the first time.....dinner on offer.LOCATION:few tables....bad acoustics...I wasn't able to converse with the diners.MENU: typical Emilian dishes...wide choice.... generous portions...not all of excellent quality SERVICE: attentive...courteous...right times. PRICE cannot be assessed because it is on offer. Recommended without praise or infamy....without too many pretensions.

Franco's Trattoria-food: I was passing through those parts, right in the center of Taneto di Gattatico, this rustic, very informal, typical Po Valley place has existed for a lifetime, with an adjoining shop offering an excellent selection of local cured meats, food and trattoria, as it once existed in every hamlet of lower Reggiana. Simple cuisine, with few frills, frank and direct. Traditional first courses from Reggio Emilia, featuring duck ragù, fried gnocco and fabulous cracklings. Second courses: excellent rabbit hunter style, moist and braised, I recommend a good and tasty tripe for those interested. At lunch only fixed menu for workers, but this means nothing, on the contrary it guarantees the freshness of the products, due to the constant coming and going. A la carte menu only for dinner, closed on Sundays.

Restaurant in the back of a village bar, we had dinner as a group. The innkeeper offered us a "house" menu without telling us the price, but we trusted him. The trays that arrived at the table, approximately 1 tray for every 5 people (the quantity on the trays for 4 people was scarce). Overall good quality, but the next day many of us had upset stomachs.
