All very good! We went to visit the castle of Issogne and asked the guide for advice on where to eat a good polenta. This restaurant was recommended to us as "the best polenta in the Aosta valley"... and what can I say, we completely agree!
On Sundays they only have fixed menus (from 25 to a maximum of 40 euros, drinks excluded).
Definitely try the fontina biscuits with hot lard, a gem! And the fantastic Seuppa, we didn't know what it was but it's a typical dish you absolutely must try, you won't regret it!
The polenta is prepared by the grandfather who will serve it personally to you at the table... and for dessert they offer chestnuts that are mouth-watering... what can I say, everything is fantastic.
The environment is typical of a very welcoming trattoria, the view is also very beautiful and not least the raw materials are all local or come from their gardens.

Cozy and intimate. Panoramic view of the Alps on a winding road, after the Verrès castle. Excellent traditional Aosta Valley food. Especially grandfather Netto's polenta tanning!! fantastic!!

If you are looking for a traditional place in the area to eat, I have good news for you: you have found it! This trattoria is not simply a traditional trattoria: it is a culinary experience from A to Z. We chose Nonno's tasting menu, and each dish was better than the previous one... from the naturally tasty local cold cuts, to the plain fontina and lard biscuits space, with cotechino with a green sauce of a goodness rarely found before. Even the little extras, like the breadsticks, were of an extraordinary quality and goodness. Not to mention the main dish: polenta! Very tasty, very soft, full of cheese and flavor - a wonder for the taste buds! In short, absolutely worth trying. 10/10

Classic trattoria where they cook everything for you with ingredients such as Banchette corn polenta, small local production cured meats and cheeses, quality homemade pasta and traditional local desserts. All good but I find the dishes seasoned with too much salt for my tastes. The menu bill is right.

Even years after the last visit, I can only confirm the pleasantness of the food, the courtesy of the staff and the beauty of the surrounding environment which can be admired from the tables placed on the veranda and heated by the stove. In particular, the portions of the excellent soupa and polenta are so generous that they satisfy every appetite!

Beautiful experience, not only culinary. Restaurant managed with passion for 50 years, all dishes are cooked with top quality ingredients and therefore extremely tasty. The polenta and the green sauce with anchovies are special! Thanks for the dinner and the nice chat:)

Alcune persone del luogo ci hanno consigliato questa trattoria, e abbiamo fatto bene ad ascoltarli. Qui ho fatto uno dei pasti migliori degli ultimi anni! Ho innanzitutto apprezzato l'ambiente familiare con il nonno che viene direttamente ai tavoli con il carrello a servire le pietanze e chiedere se qualcuno vuole fare il bis fino a esaurimento scorte. Fra i vari piatti tipici valdostani che ho provato, è indimenticabile la zuppa (che non è una zuppa): morbida, saporita, con un equilibrio perfetto degli ingredienti. L'unica pecca è che vivo a più di 2 ore di distanza!

Questa trattoria oramai è la tappa fissa di fine estate.
Piatti genuini tipici valdostani .possibilità di diverse tipologie di menù fisso (3 Antipasto, un primo a scelta e un secondo e dolce).
Camerieri e personale cordiale.
Dopo il lauto pranzo vi e la possibilità di rilassarsi e fare un pisolino nel parco allestito sopra al ristorante.
Attenzione, la strada per arrivarci è molto tortuosa e con parecchie curve.
Lo consiglio!
