We had a fantastic Sunday lunch at this wonderful trattoria in the village of Acaya, not far from Lecce. Everything was perfect - the ambience , the food (especially the antipasti) and the service. Would highly recommend especially for those wanting to try typical local dishes of the region.

On Saturday, December 6, 2025, I opted for dinner at Nonno Pici. I already knew the place, but after quite a few years, I decided to return. It was my partner and I. We started with two appetizers, consisting of a mixed fried fish and a mix of cheeses. To call these dishes exquisite would be an understatement. Next, we chose a lasagna with sausage and an amazing dish of fava bean and chicory puree. Needless to say, these dishes were also nothing short of delicious. We washed it all down with an excellent house rosé. What more can I say except that the bill was fair? In short, living just a few kilometers from the enchanting Acaya, in San Cataldo, I can safely say that, alas, the years have passed, but the "Nonno Pici" trattoria will forever remain the quintessential dining destination for those who love homely warmth and tradition. We will return as soon as possible because we truly love you.

Simply AMAZING!! Background music, rustic atmosphere, excellent service, authentic Salento cuisine. I'm thinking of returning to Avaya, especially for dinner at this trattoria soon. Try it and believe it!
