If you're looking for a simple trattoria frequented by local Neapolitans, Malinconico is the place for you. Simple, classic dishes, with limited selections and updated daily, are lovingly prepared by the chef. You'll feel like you're having lunch or dinner at an aunt's house. The place is very small and basic (paper tablecloths, wooden benches, etc.), but you'll see a constant flow of people outside the door and the owner greets many of the restaurant's patrons by name. The service is very pleasant, and we were particularly impressed by the speed with which the dishes arrived. Recommended for those who want local food, without too many frills, and at relatively reasonable prices. Approved!

A historic, popular trattoria located in the hilly Vomero neighborhood of Naples. A simple atmosphere, affordable prices, and above all, home-style cooking reminiscent of that of your mother and grandmother, enriched with all the main traditional Neapolitan dishes. If you find yourself in Naples, you can't miss it. Highly recommended.

Founded in the postwar period as a winery and wine bar, it's now a well-run tavern serving traditional cuisine with a wide variety of dishes at affordable prices. The food is excellent, and I gladly return whenever I can. It's only open for lunch.

Always high-quality, home-style cuisine, or rather, homemade, at competitive and affordable prices. Neapolitan dishes are prepared with care and respect for our traditions. Parking is difficult, but it's definitely worth it.

03/02/2026: I was there for lunch today. I eat pizza often and almost always in different places on purpose, often at pizzerias that are well-known and famous on social media and elsewhere. But the pizza I ate here is on par with few others; to be precise, it can only be compared to two other pizzerias I've been to. The service was impeccable, and I repeat, the pizza was truly delicious and 100% traditional, and the owner was very friendly. I'll be back with my family. Congratulations!
