One of the refuges from what is somewhat overusedly called globalisation. A trattoria that is still extremely traditional and where you can eat true Neapolitan cuisine.

Different products every day, quality food and quality home-made cuisine at very honest prices. Perhaps the baked pasta was a little overcooked even though it was delicious. Fast, friendly but sometimes slightly confusing service. Perhaps the most negative note is the external furniture with plastic bar tables and chairs. Uncomfortable and inadequate. I understand the space limitation but after many years of experience I see it as limiting. Overall great experience. So I recommend booking.

I loved this amazing restaurant! We visited on San Gennaro's Feast Day so it was very busy and we waited for a table. My gnocchi in a delicious tomato sauce was well worth the wait! The atmosphere, staff and feeling like I was experiencing Neapolitan cooking history made this such a treat. I will definitely return when I go back to Naples. I will make sure I get there early though!!

I'm biased because I've been going there for decades and will continue to do so. The food and service are impeccable...but you can't retire Nando's...I miss him so much😘

La trattoria Malinconico è sempre una garanzia! Per quando non si ha voglia di cucinare a casa o per una pausa veloce in questa trattoria si trova sempre una buona cucina napoletana.

06/01/2025: One of those places where you need to know at least once in your life... then you will definitely return, since it is so out of the ordinary (speaking of exceptionality) that you are happy to go there and eat new dishes. Well done Tobia, your uniqueness is precious.
18/11/2024: A casa di Tobia è realmente a casa di Tobia. Un posto unico e originale , dove il padrone e/o i padroni di casa sono persone eccezionali, che riescono a trasmettere nelle loro pietanze l’amore per la cucina e la propria terra. Vale il viaggio, se si ha voglia di ri-scoprire sapori autentici e genuini, come la cucina della nonna insegna. Le polpette sono spaziali, per non parlare dei contorni, il vino, la pasta, il ragù. Il posto è affascinante, vintage e rilassante. Adatto per famiglie, amici e coppie. Lo consiglio e non vedo l’ora di tornarci.

02/02/2025: Family-run restaurant near the port where you can enjoy traditional Neapolitan cuisine in a spartan setting. Prices are reasonable and portions are generous.
