Excellent, a really nice place and you eat very well at a reasonable cost

Excellent restaurant, with tables overlooking the lake. Excellent porchetta, and I tried their fettuccine with porcini mushrooms, which was delicious. The service was excellent. Recommended, we'll definitely be back.

We dined inside, but there are tables overlooking the lake. A simple restaurant, with traditional cuisine made with love. Giovanni and his son Francesco welcome you with a sincere Roman touch. I had an amazing carbonara. No photos, the dish vanished. Best to book. Parking nearby.

This historic restaurant nestled among the buildings of Castel Gandolfo offers limited seating, so I highly recommend making a reservation. There are 5-6 tables inside and a few outside, a good choice on warm evenings. The menu is varied and includes various appetizers (including the ever-present porchetta) and delicious first courses. I haven't tried any second courses yet, although they look very inviting. Among the first courses, the pappardelle with wild boar sauce is definitely worth trying, with its unique flavor. The portions are decidedly generous, both compared to the average and the price (€14). The cannelloni are another truly delicious dish, with a strong flavor from the bay leaves and the savory meat. The price is definitely reasonable (€12) and good value. The cover charge is €2.50, but you can enjoy endless amounts of delicious, crusty bread, so it's worth it.

An absolutely incredible culinary experience, Francesco's unparalleled friendliness and courtesy. You can't miss trying Giovanni's wonderful dishes, prepared with the highest quality ingredients, while admiring Lake Castel Gandolfo, with tables right on the lookout! I hope to return soon to enjoy everything! I've never eaten so well; if you're passing through, Spuntino is a must, believe me.

Un'esperienza culinaria assolutamente incredibile, simpatia e cortesia ineguagliabile di Francesco , non si può non provare i meravigliosi piatti di Giovanni preparati con prodotti di altissima qualità ammirando il lago di Castel Gandolfo,avendo i tavoli proprio sul belvedere! Spero di tornarci presto per riuscire a gustare tutto! Mai mangiato così bene, se si passa di qua è d'obbligo andare allo Spuntino, credetemi.

Breathtaking view, excellent service, fast, kind and knowledgeable staff, excellent value for money

In giro per i castelli e, dopo aver visitato i giardini del Papa ora aperti al pubblico, abbiamo pranzato all'aperto in questa trattoria. Mangiato benissimo, piatti abbondanti, personale cortese, attento e simpatico; con vista sul lago. Bravissimi.

Visiting Castel Gandolfo, we're tempted to stay for dinner to enjoy the cool evening breeze... we ask if there's room and are shown to one of the tables overlooking the lake below. The straccetti with arugula and parmesan are truly delicious, the service is quick and friendly. The location is beautiful, prices are average, recommended!
