A surprise even in summer!
I've been coming to Lo Scoiattolo in the winter for years, but returning in the summer was a real treat! The breathtaking view and fresh air make the experience even more special. The food is always wonderful: generous, authentic, and flavorful. The staff is incredibly kind and the atmosphere is welcoming. A haven of peace and good taste in the heart of Piano Battaglia. I'll definitely be back!

A magical place both summer and winter. In the heart of Piano Battaglia, you can enjoy traditional dishes from the Madonie mountains, accompanied by the friendly owners. I return every chance I get.

Truly beautiful place, an alpine hut in an exceptional natural setting. The place is well-kept and clean. Three of us ate there—my son, me, and his friend—last Thursday. The menu wasn't particularly varied, but it was authentic and comprised of excellent local produce and homemade specialties, especially considering it was midweek in the low season. Generous portions and fair prices. A must-visit for anyone looking to stop for a nature outing. While we ate, we could admire some deer grazing a few meters away on the plateau in front of the refuge through the windows. Three years later, back, the quality was absolutely the same. Congratulations! 👍

Fantastisc food experience with exeptionally good service! That genuine cozy atmospher and outstanding food typical for the region. A must if you can get up on the top of Scisilly.

Lovely place and great quality and technique in the dishes.
We tried the strozzapreti and they were exceptional.
The appetizers were delicious, we tried the tartare and the mixed appetizer.
The lasagna could perhaps be improved, a dish with little thrust in the flavors that you can still finish.

Really very suggestive place, surrounded by greenery and clean and fresh air.
Very good food, you can feel the excellent quality and cooked to perfection.
Very kind staff. At the end of lunch they offered us some very comfortable deck chairs to complete our moments of relaxation.
