Update 2025: I made another trip to this restaurant this year after being so pleasantly surprised last year. This time, the restaurant was open as usual. I had the pasta with ragu again and a tiramisu for dessert. Both were delicious and plentiful! 2024: I arrived there after a strenuous bike ride and asked for something to eat. Even though it was a closed day (Wednesday), the owner offered to make me pasta with ragu. I found that very hospitable, and the food was plentiful and extremely good 👍. Definitely recommend it!

We stopped at Ristoro dello Scoiattolo with the Ducati Club during a ride in the Madonie Mountains, and we couldn't have chosen a better place! After a wonderful day on the bike, this place welcomed us with warmth, excellent food, and a truly unique atmosphere. The staff was friendly and extremely helpful, ready to welcome our group with a smile and impeccable service. Hospitality is evident here! Lunch was a true feast of flavors: generous and tasty appetizers, homemade first courses worthy of applause, and quality meat cooked to perfection. All accompanied by excellent wine and a lot of fun. The location, immersed in the greenery of the Madonie Park, is simply fantastic: perfect for a break between curves, to breathe in the fresh air and enjoy a bit of relaxation with friends.

We spontaneously went to this restaurant, located in the middle of the mountains. After they realized we barely spoke Italian, an English-speaking employee immediately came to our aid. The food, the ambiance, the staff—everything was perfect. Thank you!

We were near the Madonie Mountains for a hike. Around 2:30 PM, we looked for a place to have lunch (given the time, we weren't sure where we could go). Luckily, the refuge was open. It was our salvation. We ate deliciously, and the service was super punctual and courteous, just as we remembered. Highly recommended.
