A good restaurant in the center of Mantua. Friendly staff, authentic traditional dishes, and reasonable prices. The place is small, so reservations are required.

In my week-long trip centred on Ferrara, Bologna, and Mantova, the food that I had in this restaurant was by far the best value for the money. Honest, local home-cooked dishes, using quality ingredients and fairly priced. I had macaroni with horse meat and rabbit with olives for dinner and came for lunch the next day, trying the tortellini in brodo and a steak in marsala sauce. I rarely order first and second course as well as dessert but I did that here for both lunch and dinner. The owner of the restaurant was also very charming and kind.

Fuyant la chaleur, nous sommes allés à l'intérieur de ce restaurant. Décoration agréable. Les plats ne sont pas chers, mais la cuisine est très médiocre. Le risotto alla mantovana n'est pas un risotto, mais un riz pilaf, très sec. Les agnoli très moyens, ainsi que le vitello tonnato. Mauvaise pioche ! Mieux vaut consulter TA avant de choisir un restaurant !

29/06/2025: The ideal restaurant for a couple's dinner. It ranges from 'cacio e pepe' to 'ramen', a mix of Italian and oriental cuisine, all accompanied by a wide selection of fine wines. A warm and welcoming environment embellished by a beautiful wall bookcase that makes the atmosphere a bit similar to that of a literary café. There are also tables outside. Convenient parking spaces on the street. (it is an internal road with no traffic at all). The bill is really honest.

20/11/2025: A well-maintained restaurant, excellent service, and friendly staff. The traditional food is excellent in every way, from appetizers to main courses. The dessert selection is simply breathtaking! I highly recommend it and will be back soon to try other delicacies.
13/11/2025: A must-try when I'm in the Mantua area... always a sure thing, spectacular riso alla pilota with melt-in-the-mouth chips... impeccable service and incredibly friendly service. The dessert trolley is out of this world, that alone would be enough to make me want to go there... kudos to you, I've been going there since 2015, the year my friend Dino introduced me to it... I'll be back as soon as possible.
