Very central in Mantua, good food, attentive and scrupulous service. We had, it must be said, a winning card: our uncles from Mantua who were regular visitors to the place. Every now and then it's also satisfying to win easily.

Here you can find dishes from the true Mantuan tradition, on the other hand the place has existed for a long time and there must be a reason... The service is a little slow but it's worth waiting a bit, it probably depends on the fact that they prepare the dishes freshly made and are not frozen and reheated. The environment is small and you need to book but it offers an informal atmosphere where even customers feel at ease and relax. The agnoli in broth that I ordered are truly handmade, like grandma's. Honest prices. I highly recommend the bignolata as sweet, amazing, with that Marsala zabaglione it is memorable!

Beautiful environment, you can already notice it from the outside. Furthermore, the typical food of Mantua and the very low prices (first courses 10-11 euros, second courses 11-12 euros) make this place a gem in the center of Mantua. Absolutely worth trying is the stew with polenta and the sbrisolona mantovana as a finale

Siamo stati qui a pranzo, prenotando la sera prima.. per fortuna! Arrivati abbiamo trovato un cartello che comunicava che il locale era al completo.
Comunicando la nostra intolleranza al lattosio siamo subito stati informati su quali piatti avremmo potuto prendere… molti, con nostra gioia!
I ravioli di zucca, di cui abbiamo fatto anche il bis, erano FOTONICI (anche conditi con olio anziché burro apposta per noi, per l’intolleranza).
Buoni anche gli agnoli sia in brodo che al ragù, e i maccheroncini allo stracotto.
Gentilissimi e molto disponibili.
Conto onestissimo.
Torneremo a Mantova anche solo per passare di qui!
