My family and I had lunch at this restaurant during our stay in Mantua, and we had a great time. The restaurant is small, intimate, and comfortable. The food is excellent, featuring typical local dishes. The staff is friendly and efficient. Highly recommended, especially for the price. A word of advice: if possible, it's best to make a reservation, because it's small and seats sell out quickly. We stopped by and booked our spot about an hour early.

A typical Mantuan trattoria located in the historic center. My wife and I shared a mixed cheese platter accompanied by a superb mustard, a plate of riso alla pilota, and a plate of pasta stuffed with walnut sauce. We finished the meal with an excellent sbrisolona cake accompanied by passito wine. Everything was delicious...

30/11/2025: I'd like to review Scacciapensieri to clarify the service, which is good. Wait times are normal considering it's a Saturday lunch with at least 90 seats. The quality/price ratio is very fair. The menu is varied.
23/11/2025: Excellent appetizers, don't miss the platter of cured meats, cheeses, and mustard. The first courses are very good, the second courses excellent. Traditional cuisine with excellent products.
