Here you can find dishes from the true Mantuan tradition, on the other hand the place has existed for a long time and there must be a reason... The service is a little slow but it's worth waiting a bit, it probably depends on the fact that they prepare the dishes freshly made and are not frozen and reheated. The environment is small and you need to book but it offers an informal atmosphere where even customers feel at ease and relax. The agnoli in broth that I ordered are truly handmade, like grandma's. Honest prices. I highly recommend the bignolata as sweet, amazing, with that Marsala zabaglione it is memorable!

I love this traditional Mantovani osteria. I would eat here every night if I lived here. Meal after meal, they achieve perfection. Perfection of taste, quality, portion size, their beautiful wines and desserts, and the service is as warm and professional as it comes. Thank you for all the amazing meals.

Veniamo tutti gli anni a Mantova da Roma e tutti gli anni mangiamo al Leoncino Rosso perché è buono come pochi altri posti a Mantova, con prezzi più che onesti, personale simpaticissimo, posizionato al centro della città, e con tante proposte vegetariane nel menù. I dolci sono una cosa pazzesca. Non cambiate mai che siete stupendi

Buoni i ravioli di zucca e buono lo stracotto con patate, anche la sbrisolona fatta in casa , tutto ben fatto, avrei dato 4 pallini, ma quando sono andata in bagno sono rimasta delusa dalla sporcizia e dalla trascuratezza ed il locale mi è scaduto molto. Personale giovane molto gentile. Prezzi buoni. Se il bagno è lo specchio del locale.....insomma....

29/06/2025: The ideal restaurant for a couple's dinner. It ranges from 'cacio e pepe' to 'ramen', a mix of Italian and oriental cuisine, all accompanied by a wide selection of fine wines. A warm and welcoming environment embellished by a beautiful wall bookcase that makes the atmosphere a bit similar to that of a literary café. There are also tables outside. Convenient parking spaces on the street. (it is an internal road with no traffic at all). The bill is really honest.
