We thank Vincenzo, the former tobacconist in Pisignano, for recommending this place to us. The location is beautiful and welcoming, the service is perfect, and the staff is extremely kind and knowledgeable. The menu was extensive and all the dishes were truly delicious. It's hard to say which was the best because they were all exceptional.

A truly unforgettable and delightful experience! We opted for the tasting menu: everything was excellent! It's hard to say what we liked most, from the appetizers to the amaro! A wonderful, welcoming, familiar, and cheerful atmosphere. We felt at home! Francesco, a wonderful host! The waiters were friendly, polite, and always smiling. We'll be back!

Excellent Salento cuisine Friendly owners, quiet atmosphere

I have been going to Salento on holiday for the whole month of June for several years now. I usually stay in San Foca or Torre Specchia Ruggeri. At least twice during my holiday I go to Trattoria dell'Arco in Pisignano-Lecce, to my friend Francesco (FRANCESCONE for friends, also considering his size). Francesco welcomes you with a human warmth that is difficult to find in other people. He advises you on the dishes of the day and even where the food he prepares comes from. It is usually best to book. The menu is very varied but I have always opted for the tasting menu, consisting of sweet and sour appetizers, lots of boiled and fried vegetables, a pizza etc., there are about 10 terrines of appetizers, then there is a choice of first courses (excellent) or the very famous meatballs in sauce in a pignatta and surrounded by pizza dough. The side dishes are always based on cooked or raw vegetables, always local. The wine, if you want, is excellent and produced on site. After eating and drinking well, we go to the cashier to pay and in my specific case we spent 46 euros in total, including appetizers (we were already full), meatballs in sauce in a pot, still and sparkling water, half a liter of local wine, 2 coffees. After paying I can't help but go and say hello to my friend Francesco, the owner of the restaurant, who, while busy preparing the various dishes for the customers and the excellent pizzas, always offers us a bitter to digest but above all holds us in a hug that takes our breath away. Conclusion: my very personal vote for this Trattoria dell'Arco is 5 for everything. Both for the goodness and quality of the ingredients and for the location but above all for the human warmth that the owner Mr. Francesco knows how to transmit. I will continue to send him friends and relatives because he deserves it. Thank you Francesco for the delicacies you prepare for us and for your friendship. See you soon.

Excellent restaurant to eat typical Apulian dishes, I ate some very good meatballs, the owner is exceptional, I recommend it

Locale carino, non molto ampio ma accogliente. Ho provato il classico antipasto con frittini, polpette ecc, nella media. Poi una grigliata mista sempre nella media, dunque medio in tutto.
