Trattoria La Villetta In Jenne

We came across this little restaurant by chance and I must say that the first impact is the location, a suggestive terrace overlooking the village of Jeanne, nothing short of extraordinary, a well-kept and arranged place inside. Once seated we tasted a mix of appetizers in the center, nothing to do with the classic mountain appetizers or similar things, particular and lovable appetizers on the palate perfectly in tune with the equally particular first courses. A lunch different from the usual and this can only be a pleasure. I highly recommend it and will definitely return, perhaps also taking advantage of an overnight stay given the possibility of renting the room to spend the night.

Good quality food. Optimal. Critical issues: bathroom without lid cup, soap that didn't come out, nothing to dry your hands. I asked for the toothpick twice and had to go get it. Considering the prices charged I would have expected better service.

La Villetta di Jenne (1st May by motorbike in the Aniene Valley) On the occasion of a motorbike tour with a friend on May 1st, we decided to have lunch at La Villetta di Jenne, immersed in the splendid setting of the Aniene Valley. The restaurant, located on a hill just outside the town, appears tidy and with attention to detail, with a young and lively clientele. The internal room, enriched by a glass window that overlooks a large balcony, offers a breathtaking view of the valley below and the rocky spur where the village of Jenne lies. The sun and the fresh breeze made the atmosphere even more pleasant. At the entrance, we were greeted by a young, smiling and friendly team. Some initial problems with the booked table on the balcony created a moment of embarrassment, which was resolved kindly. Too bad, however, for a small oversight: the Montepulciano d'Abruzzo Doc wine arrived at the table already uncorked. Lunch, with a fixed menu for the holiday, began with a rich, well-varied mountain appetizer. The two first courses were the real surprise of the meal: a delicious white lasagna and fettuccine with peas and fresh broad beans in cream, perhaps even better than the lasagna. The second course – a stew with potatoes – good but perhaps a little too simple to complete the menu. The DJ played dance music from the 60s, 70s and 80s to make the experience even more pleasant: an unexpected and much appreciated surprise. The dessert, a tiramisu with hazelnut crumble, closes the meal without leaving a particular mark. Final evaluations Location: 7 – Nice atmosphere and spectacular view from the balcony. Service: 6 – Friendly and helpful, but with room for improvement. Cuisine: 7 – Simple but tasty, especially the first courses. Count: 7 – Suitable for the experience and the holiday. Music & Atmosphere: 7 – A pleasant addition that makes a difference. Conclusion: A place to take into consideration, especially to return to try the à la carte menu, strictly with a table on the balcony.

Enchanting place with a breathtaking view of the Simbruini mountains, the owner Valerio welcomes you in a cozy and warm environment offering dishes that turn out to be a real culinary experience... I highly recommend it... I can't wait to repeat the experience!

Today I came to this place for the first time, following a friend's suggestion. Really a lot of stuff, the food is excellent, the starters are sensational, personally the polenta with vegetables and bacon is wonderful, it's worth the trip. The pleasant service, the guy who I believe is the owner is really nice and precise with the orders and gives advice on the dishes. The location is well organized and has a garden where you can have outdoor aperitifs with a view of the valley. What can I say? You eat very well, you feel good, the quality for the price is super correct!! I recommend it

Vista superlativa pur avendo cenato all'interno, vista la stagione invernale. Ottima scelta di primi piatti, preparati con prodotti locali autentici. Antipasto molto abbondante e buona selezione di vini. Consigliato !
