Trattoria La Vecchia Osteria In Genazzano

There were 5 of us and we discovered this place while browsing the Internet. It's a clean, family-run place and the food is quite good without a starter. We paid €190 for 5. We didn't overdo it with the courses. All in all, the owner is quite sociable. We'll be back.

Every year, when I pass through these parts, a stop at Osteria Genazzano is a must. The first courses I tried, especially the carbonara, gricia, and cacio e pepe, were, as always, exquisite. A guarantee of taste and quality that never disappoints. Not to mention the owner's friendliness and the kindness and professionalism of the staff.

We ate very well in a welcoming and familiar atmosphere.

Typical Roman cuisine, very good tavern, we ate a truly exceptional carbonara obviously without cream, and then the gricia and everything else was truly fantastic, we will definitely be back

After a lovely stroll through Genazzano, we stopped at the "Vecchia Osteria." We sat at table 11. Oh my, the truffle-infused soreca tails were delicious. An exceptional, authentic flavor. Generous, well-prepared portions, excellent meat for the main course, and the side dishes were also delicious. The staff were truly friendly and helpful. We'll be back soon and highly recommend it.

A truly wonderful discovery. Just steps from the center of Genazzano, this is a true osteria from another era. The dishes are generous and, above all, excellent. Special mention goes to the pasta and their steak. The place is very charming, and the owners are truly kind and friendly. I will definitely be back. Highly recommended.

The space is too small for the number of people it can accommodate. It's too loud to even talk. The food is good and plentiful.

I went to eat on August 15th and I have to say that the food was excellent, from the starter to the dessert, traditional dishes cooked like my grandmother used to do. Friendly and impeccable service. I recommend going... We will return on a Thursday to try the fish.

Perfect mid-August lunch. Generous, high-quality portions. Everything was truly delicious, from the wine to the pasta dishes to the maritozzo with coffee ice cream. Angelo immediately put us at ease with his genuine, host-like approach. He was extremely flexible and willing to change dishes we didn't like due to intolerances. The price was excellent, especially considering the general prices at other restaurants, and he even made sure the kids only paid for what they wanted (avoiding the usual €30 menu for a cutlet and two fries). A restaurant from another era. Highly recommended, and definitely worth trying again for the fish and the much-vaunted truffle. We'll definitely be back.

Table 16 Ferragosto in the osteria! First culinary experience at La Vecchia Osteria in Genazzano on a holiday! What can I say! Everything was superb! From appetizer to dessert, there wasn't a single course that made me dislike it! Creamy, well-balanced cacio e pepe risotto... lasagna with delicate vegetable ratatouille, but with that hint of smokiness that, thanks to the provola, won over the palates of everyone at my table... chicken with peppers, sublime, mouth-watering... fragrant, tender, and flavorful suckling pig... and to finish off, a fantastic maritozzo, filled to the brim with cream-based ice cream that melted in your mouth! Nothing to complain about! Absolutely worth trying! The service also deserves a mention... perfect timing between courses... friendly and helpful waiters! Rustic and comfortable atmosphere, just like home! Very good house red and white wine! In short... we've already booked for next weekend! Congratulations! A real discovery we'll never leave!
