When they asked me "Is everything okay?", I really wanted to answer: "Yes, thanks... from today I know where not to eat again." Final bill: €40.50 for 3 people – Pasta with sauce with meat, parmigiana, mixed fried calamari and prawns, water, Fanta and cover charge. Food: PASTA WITH SAUCE (€12 – off the menu): Presented as pasta with ragù and meat (deceptive), but not even a hint of ragù. An excessively al dente pasta arrived, with an anonymous and characterless sauce, probably a commercial mix added to the meat in the sauce. It wasn't even worth half the price. The presence of generous pieces of meat could have made the dish acceptable, but it's a shame that I personally don't like fat and perhaps I would have liked a sauce with beef stew, a ragù or a chop, de gustibus. PARMIGIANA (6€): Generous portion, but the flavor is not up to the standard of a homemade one. Rushed cooking and aubergines not dried well, which released too much water during cooking. MIXED FRIED (€11): Acceptable quality, but low quantity. A few more pieces would have been nice. WATER (€3!): The price deserves a special mention… it costs more than a whole case of 6 bottles at the supermarket! And, if I didn't misread the menu, they also charge for tap water. Location: Recently renovated place, with few seats but the possibility of eating both inside and outside. A few steps from the seafront, perfect for a post-dinner stroll, and with convenient parking in the area. Final thoughts: Reading other reviews, I'd like to think I just had a bad day... but honestly, I don't think I want to risk it a second time to check it out.

A stone's throw from the sea, on the Policastro seafront, parking near the restaurant, delicious starters, fantastic stuffed cuttlefish nguttunata, abundant first courses, excellent fried fish of the day, a sore point is the service where when the customer asks what the waiter is eating must be competent and give detailed explanations of the dish

We often go to the La Rustica restaurant when we are passing through Policastro or Sapri. Both the welcome and the food are always perfect. The value for money is good. Any advice? Let the owners of the restaurant do it, especially with the appetizers. They are all good and delicious. Highly recommended

We came across this restaurant by chance and returned the following evening. The service is fast and essential. The food was excellent and varied. Vegetables from the garden, very fresh fish. The parmesan is very good.
