We had dinner as a family, quite good food, same service, but the place really leaves something to be desired, ok it's from the 80s, but that wouldn't have been a problem, the fact is that the wooden paneling on the wall was all splattered with old grease and very old, given that it is a very small environment, giving it a good clean with the degreaser wouldn't be bad. Let's say that if I were to return perhaps I would opt for another place.

Abbiamo cenato in questo ristorante la prima sera che siamo arrivati a San Bartolomeo al mare e ci siamo ritornati tutte le sere. Ad accoglierci il proprietario, simpatico e gentile; in cucina il fratello, un cuoco eccellente. Il menù è molto vario, sia di terra che di mare e si mangia divinamente; tutto buonissimo, dall’ antipasto al dolce, porzioni abbondanti e prezzi adeguati. Il locale è piccolo, quindi è consigliabile prenotare, almeno il giorno prima.

Excellent trattoria in the center of San Bartolomeo, the owner is very kind and friendly. The cuisine is excellent, I recommend the trofie with pesto and the fried calamari with chips.

Trattoria sull’Aurelia. Ambientazione anni settanta / ottanta. È un posto alla buona, dove si mangia bene. Il rapporto prezzo qualità è molto buono a mio avviso. Se si vuole cenare d’estate è meglio prenotare quattro o cinque giorni prima (almeno). Consiglio le fritture: croccanti e non unte.

A place that stands out little if anything but what matters is the food and the service. Excellent food, at the right price, service always with a smile and available. In short, they didn't pay attention to visibility but paid attention to the food and the customer. Ingredients that are almost non-existent in these parts. Highly recommended because as a famous saying goes: "what counts is being and not appearing"

A restaurant that perfectly meets expectations. Large portions, simple flavors and a very honest bill despite eating fish. Recommended for those who hang out in San Bartolomeo, it is mandatory to book a few days in advance

For me it is now a fixed stop when I return from France. The place is small and I therefore recommend booking. The food is very good and the staff extremely friendly. Absolutely recommended

15/07/2024: Il locale è situato in pieno centro, affacciato su una piazzetta piena di turisti. Abbiamo mangiato molto bene e tutti piatti ottimi: una insalata di polpo alla ligure, un piatto di spaghetti allo scoglio, un tataki di tonno, un dolce, un sorbetto, vino e acqua spendendo un tutto 70€ (non è economico ma è in linea con i prezzi che abbiamo visto a Sanremo). Completa il tutto il personale gentilissimo e Chicco e Rosa simpaticissimi e appassionati del loro lavoro.
03/03/2024: Capitati per caso per cena ci siamo trovati molto bene. Abbiamo preso due primi ed entrambi erano ottimi. Servizio molto cordiale. C’è una cagnolina stupenda che accoglie i clienti. Consigliatissimo.

La Terrazza

18/08/2024: This year we went back to La Terrazza and once again it did not disappoint. Stunning views? Yes. Awesome service? Yes. Guests spontaneously joining in a piano sing-along? Yes. One change from last year is that one floor down is the revamped poolside grill restaurant with a high energy crowd, which means that La Terrazza itself has a more relaxed, more romantic vibe. This time we had the lamb and the fassona beef, accompanied by a Mille e Una Notte wine from Sicily. Congratulations as always to the staff for their gracious service and kind banter! We were lucky to be there on a clear an warm July evening, so the view was very clear (as you will see from our uploaded photos) at sunset at under the stars!
13/07/2024: Staying in Santa Margarita and we came here for the evening. No question there's a nice ambiance good cocktail list and we're able to sit overlooking Portofino and the ocean. Truffle beef tartare very good. Ministroni was good. Branzino was good and prepared well. Service was pretty good. I got the Lamb and the meat was decent but the potato was awful. Tasted like some type of rotten root that was undercooked. I told the staff about it and really didn't want to complain. Good staff would worry about it though. No effort to improve the experience. There is a sewage type smell emanating we believe from the kitchen and it smelled like a toilet. Really good views but some of the views get old looking at snobs and mannequins with too much botox and plastic surgery. Didn't blow me away at this price point would not return.
