Trattoria La Ciminiera In Crema

This trattoria serving traditional Roman cuisine in the hamlet of Vergonzana between Crema and Izano was truly a wonderful discovery. The food is high-quality; I enjoyed a generous appetizer of both local cured meats and Roman cured meats and cheeses. The real test was the quintessential Roman first course, "mezze maniche alla carbonara": truly delicious, with incredibly flavorful guanciale! The tiramisu was also good. Afterwards, they offered a complimentary amari (limoncello and liquorizia). The service was also excellent and friendly, from the owner's warm welcome to the table service. The atmosphere is simple, typical of a local trattoria, well-kept and clean. Recommended for lunch or dinner, especially with a group of friends to make your Roman experience in the Crema area even more enjoyable. 4 stars ⭐⭐⭐⭐

Authentic Roman trattoria, varied and delicious food as per tradition, friendly and helpful staff, excellent value for money

I've never been to Rome, but I think this place transports you to a typical Roman trattoria with its decor and layout. The appetizers are really good, from bruschetta to supplì, and I loved the Roman-style artichokes. Personally, I'm less fond of the carbonara, which is too spicy for my taste. The service is the downside, as they were initially very attentive, but when the place filled up, we had to wait 30-40 minutes for our empty first courses to be taken away so we could continue with our second courses. The prices are fair.

Typical Roman cuisine, excellent and plentiful. The friendly staff is always ready to recommend both the menu and the daily specials. The venue is also very charming, a laid-back place for a pleasant and cheerful evening.

The first courses are not that great while the second courses are better in general, quality and price are not there.

I'm crazy about it. Perfect for carbonara and cacio e pepe cravings. Very quaint atmosphere. Very fair prices.

Ambience: 3 The atmosphere is welcoming, clean, and spacious. Upon entering, you'll find a very large foyer with a table service entrance, and the cash register is next to the steps leading into the dining room. Service: 5 Very kind and knowledgeable waiters. They always, and I mean ALWAYS, offered recommendations with a smile on their faces. Congratulations! Food: 5 EXCELLENT food! I had the amatriciana and it was delicious! Maybe a little too peppery (very spicy), but that doesn't matter. Listening to other people's opinions (there were 9 of us), the carbonara and cacio e pepe were delicious. I recommend it.
