Typical Roman cuisine, excellent and plentiful. The friendly staff is always ready to recommend both the menu and the daily specials. The venue is also very charming, a laid-back place for a pleasant and cheerful evening.

The first courses are not that great while the second courses are better in general, quality and price are not there.

I'm crazy about it. Perfect for carbonara and cacio e pepe cravings. Very quaint atmosphere. Very fair prices.

Ambience: 3 The atmosphere is welcoming, clean, and spacious. Upon entering, you'll find a very large foyer with a table service entrance, and the cash register is next to the steps leading into the dining room. Service: 5 Very kind and knowledgeable waiters. They always, and I mean ALWAYS, offered recommendations with a smile on their faces. Congratulations! Food: 5 EXCELLENT food! I had the amatriciana and it was delicious! Maybe a little too peppery (very spicy), but that doesn't matter. Listening to other people's opinions (there were 9 of us), the carbonara and cacio e pepe were delicious. I recommend it.

Excellent Roman cuisine at a fair price. I'd been to a historic wine bar in Rome a few days earlier, and La Ciminiera was a match made in heaven. It's a shame I didn't get the Jewish-style artichokes; I'll try again in a few weeks.

It's a shame that during the week at lunch we don't taste the Roman specialties in the set menu.
