Trattoria La Cantina In Cassino

21/06/2025: Very clean in the dining room, in the bathroom and on the veranda. The girl serving was very kind, discreet, smiling and efficient. The food was well cooked, above average for a tavern and of quality. I'll be back I'm back. To tell the truth, it was a time that would have allowed me to return home in good time for lunch but I preferred to stop and I wasn't wrong. The usual courtesy and the beautiful smile at the reception and the usual cleanliness in the bathrooms and in the restaurant. Perfect air conditioning inside but I preferred to eat outside. Fusilloni with anchovies and cream of turnip tops (I'm not 100% sure but I think it was like that) which were very delicate but definitely a dish more suitable for the winter period. Arrostiticini (4 of 30 g perfect portion) cooked to perfection (I think they use a Rental oven) accompanied with mixed salad dressed to perfection. To finish a divine artisanal semifreddo that I had "spotted" the previous time out. What emerges in each dish is the search for products that are not obvious but always and in any case qualitative. I will return

17/06/2025: location a bit cold the place seems to have just been renovated. I tried the fried courgette flowers as an appetizer and they seemed too swollen and the frying a bit heavy. good tagliatelle with porcini mushrooms and guanciale. disappointing gnocchi with ragu, too hard to be inedible. in fact we left them. the owner, kindly, offered us an alternative and did not add the gnocchi to the final bill. very good grilled meat. 2 courgette flowers +1 first course. +1 second course +2 desserts 47 euros final bill. not exactly cheap
