Trattoria IVO In Livorno

The food is good but the prices are high.

We stumbled upon this restaurant by chance, passing through Livorno before boarding our ferry. Even though the place was packed, the very kind manager asked the chef if he could quickly prepare two Margherita pizzas. The pizzas were ready in no time and very good. As if that weren't enough, he even offered us a few extra slices. Everything was delicious, and the price was truly fair. Highly recommended!

Great experience. We stopped by chance without much expectation and were pleasantly surprised. The fish was very good and the staff were very friendly. I definitely recommend it.

Very friendly staff. One of the best spaghetti vongole I've ever had. I would have eaten another portion. The ambiance probably isn't 5-star for many, but I like it so normal and authentic. And such a sweet Maltese lady 🤣

A little complicated to get to the place. At first it seemed like we were in nightmare kitchens but then great service excellent crudités and friendly staff. I recommend it

Excellent dinner before boarding. Fast and friendly. We had an appetizer (anchovies, onion and vinegar, their flagship item), Livorno-style cod and fried fish. Really fantastic.

Discovered by chance, I went there for dinner with some friends out of curiosity: we were excellently rewarded! At the first opportunity I returned more than willingly. Friendly and friendly staff, you feel at home. The service is fast, the portions are generous and fill you up but don't fill you up like an egg; good choice of wines. The place is very clean, simple but not shabby, on the contrary: it is still very well looked after (the paintings are beautiful). As soon as you enter you immediately feel at ease. The menu has a good choice. I took anchovies poor style as an appetizer, gnocchi with sea bream as a first course and mixed fried fish for a second course: everything was perfect. The anchovies had the ingredients dosed to perfection (often the vinegar tends to prevail), the gnocchi are heavenly, the frying is crunchy and not at all greasy. Really low prices for a fish-based dinner (a complete dinner €38). Also on the menu are pizzas and meat (although little choice of the latter, obviously: but you go there for the fish! Very fresh!) A highly recommended place, both for dinners as a couple and for dinners with friends at tables. Last positive note: at dinner the place is frequented by true Livornese D.O.C. once upon a time! ❤️

Cucina semplice e gustosa in ambiente semplice. Personale gentile. Le pietanze presentate non sono ovviamente pretenziose ma di buona qualità e cucinate bene. Rapporto qualità prezzo eccellente.
