Tradition, authenticity, and spontaneity! Trattoria Iolanda is the pinnacle of home-style Salento cuisine. The restaurant is authentic, rustic, and family-friendly, the staff is friendly and genuine, and the menu embodies traditional, high-quality cuisine. The fried pasta appetizer is highly recommended, as is the fresh homemade pasta with sauce and horse meat (and coming from a Catania native who grew up eating horse meat, you can trust me), as are the meat-based main courses and the excellent pasticciotto cake. The price is truly superb! (Just over €35 per person for an appetizer, a first course, a meat-based main course, a side dish, dessert, wine, and water. Where can you find such low prices for such high quality these days?) In short: wonderful atmosphere, excellent menu, super prices... What more can I say? Well, the poem posted in the room speaks the truth: "When you get up because you have to leave, I swear, you do it with great longing!" Highly recommended!

Amazing. Quality ingredients, a minimal menu but with traditional and tasty dishes. My partner and I are vegan, here's what we had: Appetizer - vegetable pittole - fantastic and generous portion! - paparina - typical vegetables very good as an appetizer that we put on the bread offered by the house First courses - orecchiette with turnip tops - the best I've eaten so far. - sagne "ncannullate" with tomato sauce - very simple but very good. You can taste the quality of the pasta and the tomato puree. In short, we highly recommend this trattoria, delicious. Friendly and kind staff. Familiar and relaxed atmosphere.

A truly perfect stop here!!!!! A very tasty dinner even for me who doesn't eat cold cuts and meat, here I found tasty dishes that were different from the usual things. Excellent cuisine, all fresh and homemade from the pasta (they even make pasta with barley flour) to the dessert with spumone with San Marzano, chocolate salami and pasticciotto cake with a spectacular cream!!!!….and here for those who love horse meat there is also this!!!!! Everything perfect and very honest prices!!!!!

Typical trattoria where we ate really well. Excellent pittule, exceptional orecchiette with turnip tops, very tasty grill and horse steak as well as side dishes. Bill and service normal. We will definitely be back.
