Trattoria Il Saraceno In Arezzo

Lots of choice among typical Tuscan dishes, very good food. Even the desserts are really well made, not at all obvious!

Typical trattoria, although if you look closely the cloth tablecloth raises the level a little. Truly characteristic environment, fast service, helpful and friendly waiters do the rest to make the evening pleasant. We ate bruschetta and panzanella appetizers, both decent overall. Gnocchi with tomato and fettuccine with porcini mushrooms, the first courses were decent, the second courses good and of quality. Closing with a typical dessert of cantucci and vinsanto, adding a tiramisu. Definitely worth returning.

Gorgeous! We arrived a little late (the kitchen closes at 9pm, we arrived at 8:40pm...) but they still sat us down. Very traditional place, homely atmosphere. Tuscan appetizers, then pici with wild boar, pappardelle with hare ragù and Arezzo tripe with sautéed vegetables. Finally a dessert like the walnut and fig cake, tiramisu and cantucci with vinsanto. Everything was good, well made, timing was right. Kind and friendly staff, we joked and they played along. We felt at home. Highly recommended!

A great throwback to lost and typically cal Tuscan quisine.

Very authentic trattoria, very friendly service. Classic Tuscan food in a rustic atmosphere. It was more than enough and delicious! Also a large wine list, with a good selection by the glass. Recommended.

A restaurant located in the very center of Arezzo, decorated in a very elegant, rustic way. The seats by the windows look out directly onto one of the medieval streets climbing up the city. The dishes on the menu are traditional for the region, although as an appetizer I managed to order my beloved friarelli, which is associated primarily with Naples. I can't say a bad word about the pasta with rabbit meat or the sausages ordered for the second course. Nevertheless, the said salsiccia, although very tasty, was more like Polish white sausage than my beloved specialty. It wasn't exactly what I expected. Overall, the dishes are very good, prices reasonable and the decor evokes a sentimental journey through time. I can reccomend Trattoria Il Saraceno.

E' una buona trattoria di tradizione toscana e aretina. Antipasti nella norma: i sempreverdi crostini, salumi tipici toscani, finocchiona in particolare. Ho poi preso la trippa all'aretina buona, non eccezionale, molto piena di olio; pici al cinghiale buoni ma non ricchissimi di ragù cinghiale. Buona scelta di vini. Un locale per farsi una idea "enciclopedica" della cucina locale. Non ci sono punte particolari. Non ci sono cadute particolari. Cucina solida.
