What a wonderful discovery! This trattoria is a true historic gem, a corner of Piedmont steeped in tradition and resistance. Here, within these simple walls steeped in history, the legendary "Contratto della Montagna" was signed during the Nazi-Fascist occupation—a place that is more than just a restaurant, but a living piece of our collective memory. The interior perfectly reflects that era: simple furnishings, rough-hewn wooden tables, and an intimate atmosphere that envelops you like a family embrace, without frills but with authentic warmth. The menu is a fixed price. A good selection of typical local dishes, all rigorously local and expertly prepared. Simple, authentic dishes, generous portions, and flavors that remind you of home. I'm picky about my lingua in bagnetto (a stewed tongue) because I've never found it like my mother, a true Piedmontese, makes it in any restaurant, but here it was truly delicious! And you have to try the arancini di panissa! Clean restaurant, friendly and helpful staff. If you're looking for a place where history meets pure flavor, stop here. Highly recommended! I'll be back to try the polenta concia too!

One of the best trattorias in town, excellent prices, good dishes, and a weekend menu featuring fish. Parking is available for everyone. I recommend it.

Il Quadretto is a historic trattoria in the Biella area near Pettinengo. It's an ideal stop for a snack with local food and wine, or enjoy a simple lunch featuring traditional products, starting with polenta with a Biella theme. The hospitality and kindness make it a place worth returning to, also appreciating the memories of the partisans who coordinated the resistance here. Not to be missed.
