Trattoria Il Boschetto In Rapallo

Great restaurant with delicious food and a beautiful view of the sea. We especially recommend the tortelli for vegetarians. The waiters were also very accommodating. (Couple, June 2025)

A place that is at its best in the summer because it has a beautiful view of the sea, The interior is large and spacious, furnished with taste. The service is precise, professional and very courteous. Gluten-free bread and pasta available. Interesting menu, mainly fish. The desserts are exquisite, but the price is decidedly high. The bill is not cheap, but considering the experience as a whole, I would say it is adequate.

Excellent restaurant with sea view

Right away will tell you although I'm writing in English, my husband is from Rome so this review is verified by a very picky Italian. We booked this restaurant as the other ones were not open yet for the season, we were not sure as the rating was 4.3, so not super high, and photos of food on Google or Trip advisor were not very inspiring. When we arrived, already the location looked so much better than the photos on Google. The view is nice, it is a big indoor space with huge panoramic windows all around - located directly on the shore - the view is spectacular. The food was what we came there for though. It did not disappoint. We ordered Frittura di Pesce (Deep fried seafood and fish) - it was excellent, Millefoglie Spigola con Carciofi and Tre Carciofi as second - again excellent. But the highlight was dessert, we were not sure if to order it as it was very expensive - 14 euros for a dessert, but people next to us ordered it and it looked delicious so we went for it, and it did not disappoint. Pavlova with mango and cream - was delicious. Overall, we felt that the rating should have been higher, hence this review!

The location is simply splendid, with a wonderful sea view that makes the atmosphere truly special. The staff were impeccable: courteous, helpful and professional at all times. Expectations were very high, also due to the reputation of the restaurant, but unfortunately the food disappointed us. We ordered two appetizers, a first course, two second courses and a dessert, but none of the courses managed to satisfy us. The flavors seemed unconvincing and lacking the care we expected. Delicious fish, dishes with attention to every detail and desserts that look like artistic paintings. Impeccable service, professional, kind and always attentive. Dream location, elegant, welcoming and immersed in a relaxing atmosphere. With a view overlooking the sea at sunset need I say anything else?

To all those looking for a super wedding I recommend IL BOSCHETTO in Follonica (GR). The staff is super professional and friendly at the same time, making you feel pampered more than at home. Alessandra, the super owner, is present, never intrusive, takes care of details and makes dreams come true! The restaurant's cuisine is incredible, genuine and of high quality. I recommend that the bride be accompanied by Alessandro, the super owner, on the jet ski because he will leave the guests amazed. He is really very good at super maneuvers with the motorbike, the suit gets very little wet and the emotion is indescribable. Congratulations guys! To all those who are undecided I recommend passing through the Boschetto at least once, it will be LOVE AT FIRST SIGHT!
