A trattoria like those of the past. Typical food. Generous portions. All very good.

Typical trattoria, menu spoken by the owner, food not exceptional, but typical of the Biella area. Very low prices

Everything fantastic. The waiter, very elderly, is a bit abrupt in his rude manner, but the food is good. The wine is persistent on the palate. Spotless bathrooms. Very low final price.

If you are from Biella and tried other trattorie (local food restaurants), you will know that food is generally of high standards here and customers quite demanding. I tried this trattoria on December 2024 with a large group: service was fast, they squeezed us all in a corner and started immediately to serve antipasti. Antipasti are fixed but you can chose primo and secondo dishes. They had good traditional antipasti, though some better (San Carlino cheese on dark bread, carne all'albese- raw meat, mixed beans with onions) than others, good primi and second piatti, but a sub- standard polenta concia, which is a very traditional dish. Hence my four stars. Polenta was well cooked and they used a good quality polenta flour, but likely they used 'filante' cheese (rather cheap and industry produced tasteless cheese making the show but not the true taste) instead of the local toma cheese, likely to cut down on costs. Hope they will reconsider this choice, but times are hard for all and it is very hard to remain below 30 euro per person using only locally sourced natural products. The bill was in line with similar trattorie in the zone. Special note and appreciation for the fast service, the clean toilet and the honest price (wine and water included, you are on the 20-25euro).

Place with a long history and great food experience. Excellent purely Piedmontese dishes. A dive into the past in the place. Perhaps with a very small modernization to do. I highly recommend stopping if you are passing through the Biella area to savor excellent Piedmontese cuisine.

Compliments! The quality and goodness of the food served with passion by the guys largely prevails over the interior aspect of the place which would need an update.

Typical trattoria with a vast menu for €15. Simple food, local dishes. There should be greater attention to hygiene (dirty fork).
