Fresh homemade pasta, excellent home cooking. A complete set menu includes appetizer, first course, second course, and dessert. It's right in the city center, and the staff is friendly and helpful.

Ero in giro per l’Appennino ligure con la mia lupa e all’ora di pranzo mi sono trovato a questa trattoria in questo splendido angolo d’Italia. Ho pranzato senza alcuna prenotazione con ottime tagliatelle fatte in casa, bevuto un mezzo lt di ottimo vino bianco, concluso con un caffè e un amaro, per la spesa complessiva di 13 euro, accompagnato da un senso di ospitalità ormai raro. Ora: vorrei dire a quella ventina di recensioni negative che leggo, le seguenti cose; Andate a pranzo da Cracco o altri celebrati chef, spendete come minimo 10 volte di più per lo stesso piatto e siate felici, ma non rompete più i maroni a chi aggiunge, al piatto, cortesia umanità e qualità; la stessa che un tempo si trovava facilmente dappertutto e ora è diventata merce rara. Alla trattoria mi sento solo di aggiungere un grande GRAZIE e certamente un ARRIVEDERCI a presto

Family run restaurant, home cooking. Recommended

Small but attractive restaurant with outdoor terrace. Very centrally located in the heart of the beautiful medieval village of Castevecchio di rocca barlena. The coffee was delicious but the reception mediocre. Overall a nice resting place during a visit to this beautiful village that is very worthwhile during a day trip.

After visiting one of the most beautiful villages in Italy, Castelvecchio di Rocca Barbena, we had an excellent lunch in the Malco restaurant: simple dishes, but excellently cooked. What can we say about kindness, love and determination in wanting to keep alive, despite the sacrifices, a place of such rare beauty.

Home cooking, all very good with a fixed price menu at 25 euros each: a mixed starter, a first course, a second course, two desserts, wine, water and coffee. I only gave three stars because it doesn't say anywhere that they serve a fixed menu (with respective price) and a menu of the day so that those who arrive know what they're going to eat since not everyone may like it (this wasn't our case). We also couldn't pay with a debit card because the battery was dead...
