Small but attractive restaurant with outdoor terrace. Very centrally located in the heart of the beautiful medieval village of Castevecchio di rocca barlena. The coffee was delicious but the reception mediocre. Overall a nice resting place during a visit to this beautiful village that is very worthwhile during a day trip.

After visiting one of the most beautiful villages in Italy, Castelvecchio di Rocca Barbena, we had an excellent lunch in the Malco restaurant: simple dishes, but excellently cooked. What can we say about kindness, love and determination in wanting to keep alive, despite the sacrifices, a place of such rare beauty.

Home cooking, all very good with a fixed price menu at 25 euros each: a mixed starter, a first course, a second course, two desserts, wine, water and coffee. I only gave three stars because it doesn't say anywhere that they serve a fixed menu (with respective price) and a menu of the day so that those who arrive know what they're going to eat since not everyone may like it (this wasn't our case). We also couldn't pay with a debit card because the battery was dead...

After a nice motorbike ride we stopped here to eat and it was a pleasant surprise! Excellent food, friendly and helpful (we were almost an hour late and there was no problem!). They put us near the fireplace and it was really pleasant! I didn't know they had a fireplace! Then a really nice atmosphere! Definitely recommended! If you visit Castelvecchio di Rocca Barbena, stop here to eat and you won't regret it! Among other things, a very honest price: appetizer, a flame of ravioli for two (abundant), mixed meat with vegetables for two, a quarter of Gino, still water, 2 desserts and 2 coffees 55 euros!

We stopped for a quick lunch break, but, apart from the welcoming environment near the fireplace, the menu consisted of three unchangeable and banal courses (the first was a plate of tagliatelle with tomato...) at a rather low price. expensive since we spent 30 euros getting two starters and a second course. I would have expected some original dishes and, in the hinterland in a trattoria, lower prices.

Siamo arrivati a Castelvecchio, quasi per caso nonostante fossero le 14 ci hanno accolto con cortesia e disponibilità, il menù proposto era ottimo, ben curato e abbondante, ambiante tranquillo, famigliare, gentili e disponibili, ci siamo trovati veramente bene e a nostro agio, lo consigliamo vivamente, anche il prezzo contenuto è da considerare.

Ho già frequentato più volte la trattoria e mi trovo sempre bene!
Cibo buono, ambiente pulito, caldo e accogliente e, soprattutto, i proprietari sono gentili e sorridenti!
Non ho nulla da aggiungere se non un consiglio, perché tengo particolarmente alle intolleranze alimentari in quanto soggetto celiaco: trovare un'alternativa senza glutine come dolce è sempre molto apprezzato dagli intolleranti.
