We had a great time at Rene's. Really attentive service but without excess, very nice.
We also ate very well, I highly recommend the horse meat sirloin and the pappardelle with sausage. We will definitely be back.
A restaurant like those of the past and how they should continue to be.

Human warmth of true hospitality welcomes you at the entrance to the Trattoria della Pace. The first courses are purely typical of the Mantua culinary tradition, the second courses of meat are highly recommended... especially the Renè sirloin or a choice of their dry aged Florentine steaks!
The cellar always offers a wide choice of white red wines and sparkling wines from the area and beyond... so between Lugana Custoza Soave Valpolicella Garda classic and Franciacorta you are spoiled for choice. Then there's him... The innkeeper, great presence and friendliness!!

The innkeeper is the right person in the right place. There is no shortage of friendliness and kindness and they make you feel pampered as if you were among friends. He advises diners even against his own interests. Fair price.

The tavern is beautiful. Simple and very good dishes. Only note: two people ordered 1 starter from the menu, but paid for 2 starters with an amount not on the menu. The final bill was a little expensive.

Un piccolo locale (meglio prenotare) dove assaporare alcuni piatti della cucina mantovana.
Io ho provato gli ottimi tortelli amari di Castel Goffredo, ma è meglio chiedere un bis o tris di primi per poter assaggiare di più .
Luccio e Polenta delicatissimo, avrei preferito qualcosa in più nella scelta del dolce..
Ottimo vino ,magari anche al calice sarebbe gradito.
Il proprietario comunque è gentilissimo e il conto adeguato.

We ate a fantastic selection of fresh pasta personally prepared by the chef at this Italian restaurant. The food was incredibly good and every dish was a pleasure. It is especially noteworthy that the chef does not speak Italian, but we managed to communicate perfectly with gestures and signals. A big thank you for this culinary experience!
