A very traditional trattoria in the historic center of Anagni with a welcoming atmosphere. We had a wonderful time: there were five of us and we had a mountain appetizer, Angus beef carpaccio, and artichokes with prosciutto and parmesan (excellent, really), followed by a side dish each, wine, water, and a wine cake. We paid €30 per person. We were satisfied and will definitely be back!

The pappardelle with mushrooms and sausages didn't meet expectations, but the carbonara was just okay. The tagliata was really good.

Quaint and warm, just like home, the ladies running the place were incredibly kind, and the dishes were generous and truly excellent: fettuccine with wild boar ragù, worth a second, a slice of meat that melted in your mouth, and delicious torta della nonna. A truly wonderful discovery.

Even though it's late, 2:30 p.m., they welcome us and prepare two Amatricianas and other excellent dishes. The house Cesanese is good, pay-as-you-go. A lunch break in Anagni, in a historic setting, avoiding an impersonal service station.

We discovered this place during our stay in Anagni. The atmosphere is timeless, the place is welcoming and clean. The food is spectacular; every bite makes you feel at home. The mountain platter and the pan-fried chicory paired with the Angus steak were spectacular, taking us on a journey into the most authentic heart of Ciociaria. We will definitely return, especially to meet Paola, the owner, again, who makes every guest feel at home at her trattoria.

We and our well-behaved dog were warmly welcomed and received extremely friendly and comprehensive advice and explanations of the dishes in English, which made our choice much easier. All the dishes were absolutely delicious. It was the culinary highlight of our trip. Thank you for the wonderful hospitality! We would love to come back!

09/11/2025: Wonderful experience, excellent pairings, but above all, sublime cuisine. We had the tasting menu, and it was generous. Excellent value for money.
03/11/2025: YES, A TRATTORIA, BUT YOU CAN FEEL THE HAND OF A STARRED CHEF If you decide to book at this trattoria, you need to take your time because the cuisine is express and there are nine courses (not just samples!). We're talking three appetizers, three first courses, a second course with two side dishes, and a dessert. All excellent, with the ingenious additions that our chef Salvatore Tassa has accustomed us to. Definitely worthy of mention are the Ravioli with Mortadella and Parmesan in Rosemary Beef Broth, made by the Signora who prepares them at an open counter along with all the pasta, as well as the Cannoli Dolci to finish. Also worthy of mention are the Cauliflower and Chestnut Soup, or the Tagliolini with Burnt Tomato and Pecorino. The Goat Soup, followed by roast goat and broccoli, is also excellent. Or the Mixed Salad with Licorice Oil and Pecorino. For those of us who don't eat meat, like me, there's no problem: the ravioli were made with potatoes and pecorino cheese. Superb. Instead of the kid, they served me grilled Primo Sale with mint-flavored Pioppini mushrooms. To finish, a homemade ricotta cannoli with caramel. With a good Cesanese di Affile, mineral water, and two coffees, €71 per person. (About €8 per course!!!)

24/10/2025: Gianfranco's Cantinetta..!! A wonderful surprise in Piglio. We were welcomed by the owners with such kindness and sincerity. They offered us excellent Ciociaria cuisine. Excellent quality food accompanied by the famous Cesanese del Piglio wine. Excellent value. Characterful and very welcoming place, especially the room with windows offering breathtaking views. Recommended!! 👍👏👏
11/10/2025: A typical restaurant in the heart of the Cesanese region in the village of Piglio. Overall, a positive experience. There's a family atmosphere and decent traditional dishes.
